Realizing that your nauseous,

Finding consiousness to regain strength,

Is not what I felt like doing.

Pulling myself from a trance,

Removing myself from my room,

Only to visit the bathroom,

Open my mouth wide,

Before I knew it,

My insides were laid before my eyes inside the porcelain bowl.

The ache inside my head was like

Pound.

Pound.

Pound.

Pound.

Guess I had too much vodka.

Mozying back into my room,

feeling the sheets come up onto my body,

Falling back into some unwanted world...

I didn't want to leave my room,

afraid of running into mom,

but when I looked at the clock at the time of 12:15,

I decided she had gone out for the day,

Twisting the door knob and walking out my doorway,

Down the stairs was a project,

Heat off my face,

Sweating out the stench-

An effect of the crystal.

I tried to concentrate,

Step

by

Step.

Step

by

Step.

Step

by

Step.

Finally, ground.

Smooth, feeling the carpet in between my toes.

I looked up, feeling the silence surround me,

Alone

Alone

Alone.

I looked into the kitchen,

Seeing the note on the table,

scrubbled into my mother's handwritting...

Won't be back 'till late tonight.

Please do your laundry and make dinner for yourself.

Nope, it's like she forgot about last night,

But when will she remember?
