The true joshaya

The stars are still there.

Maya's:
I can feel my heart drop to the floor mentally.
I can feel My knees drop to the ground physically.
I can feel a huge lump form in my throat and hot tears drop down.
I can feel my legs getting ready to run but I told myself I can't this time.
I have to be there for people that actually was there for me thru hard times and now it's my turn to do the same.
I can see everything start to spin
Start to become blurry.
I can feel my stomach turn.
I can feel my brain hurt.
I can feel...my world ending.
I need to stop feeling.
Once I looked up
Thru all the blur, I mange to see Riley In her mothers arms with her lill shoulders bouncing up and down.
I realized something.
This time it's just not me crying , I can't just worry if I'm gonna make it thru, I have to make sure there gonna make it.
Ik Riley is not gonna take this well so I have to be the strong one.
I stood up from the ground, whipped the tears of my face, and tapped topanga to ask if I can take Riley but I didn't even need to ask, she just handed Riley to me.
Once I felt her warm embrace, Ik that no matter what happens, it will be ok even if I'm not.
"Um g-guys, we have to get to hospital, ur grandparents are there" Corey inturrupted.
"Wait why didn't you go with them? Why didn't you just txt us to meet you at the hospital" Riley asked as she pulled away from my embrace
"We wanted to wait till you got here to tell you. We wanted to tell you in person, cuz um well it's kinda inconsiderate if we txt it" Corey answered
"Then let's go." I said running out the door with Riley's hand locked in mine.

The whole car ride there I didn't let go of Riley's hand.
"Maya?" She turned to me
"Riley." I answered
"What do you think is gonna happen?"
"Wdym riles?"
"Do you think he's ok? Will he survive?" She Ak
"Come on riles. Everything's gonna be ok." I said
"But you don't know that"
"You can't think like that riles. Think Positive, positive things happen. Like you always say"
With that she turned to me with confusion in her face and said
"Wait. Why you being so positive? Ur usually really....weak and depressed wen things like this happen."
"Well I realized that since this is the first time something happened to the both of us, I have to be the strong one. I have to take care of you. I can't just
worry about me being ok, I have to worry about you"
"But what if it doesn't turnout all "positive"?" She asked
"Then we still have eachother"
I said while she laid her head on my head.

After about 30 mins of sitting in the emergency room, the doctor comes out to us and says
"Well he looks like he's gonna be ok, just some broken bones and bruises"
When he said "just some broken bones" that just pissed me off. He's acting like it's not that important. Like tf, this is my baby, It is important!!!
"Um excuse me but what the heck do you mean, 'just some broken bones'? is he less then everybody else here? That his family doesn't deserve to know anything or something ?"
I asked walking towards him
I saw him clam up and so did Riley and the others
"Oh um no ma'm I'm sorry. Um let's see... He has a broken foot and and broke his left arm. And 5 stitches on his forehead. then bruises all over his ribs" he responded
"Oh now you include the stitches!? When the fuck were you gonna tell us that?!" I yell.
I must of been really intimidating and going crazy cuz Riley had to pull me back into my seat.
"Oh um don't mind her,she's a...sleep deprived." Riley told the doctor.
Huh? Riley pulled the old sleep deprived card on me. She's catching up.
"Um well, *clears voice* anyways you guys can see him now" the doctor said
I instantly sprung up from my chair and headed to his room but the doctor reached out a hand for me to stop and says
"ONLY family members"
I gave him the death stare and with that he let his hand fall.
"Well I am his family, I'm his....aunt....um...aunt boing. Yup I'm Corey's and Josh's dads sister" I lied
"No ur not" he said
"Why do you think that, I am so" I pouted
"Cuz I've heard that brunette call you best friend over a thousand times, plus you have a different last name. Now plz take a seat ms. Hart" he said
then instantly turned around to leave.
Well, this will be fun. Just waiting here until they let visitors in.
Suddenly I see the doctor run back to me and say
"Oh and Um he's not aloud visitors till 5am and 6am" and b4 I could say anything he left agian
"Well this will be enjoyable" I said sarcastically while picking up a magazine.
I know I'll be here for a longggggggggggggggggggggggggg time so I have to atleast make myself comfortable.

As soon as I saw Riley approaching me, I can see a smile on her face but worry in her eyes.
Topanga was walking behind Riley.
Then Corey walking behind topanga.
Then Augie in his granddads arms.
"Wait why did you all leave the room!?"
I asked
"Oh he's taking a nap, we didn't want to wake him up but grandma is with him" Riley responded
"That doesnt matter, you have to look after him! All of you! Not just his mom!" I said as my voice raised
I saw topanga look around to see if anyone is looking at us.
Finally she said
"Maya calm down its oka-"
I interrupted, stood up and said
"Calm down? He's in the freaking hospital and only his mom is in there! If I was able to be in there I would never leave his side! Don't you guys care!"
With that topanga stood up and once she approached my face, she put her hands in my shoulders.
"Ok listen here sweetie. I'm trying so hard not to blow up on you cuz I love you like a daughter and I don't want to hurt you, but don't you dare say or atleast question, if we care about him. Cuz we do, even more then you."

When she said that I realized I was in the wrong. They do care more about him then me cuz that's his family and I should of never question that.
"I-I'm sorry topanga, I'm just really scared" I said as my head fell to the ground.
"It's ok sweetie, ur not the only one this time. We all are" topanga said as she lifted my head up.

Once I sat back down Josh's father approached me and took a seat.
"So ur the famous maya heart" he says
"Wdym, you've always known me. I'm Riley's best friend" I asked
"No no no. I already know ur Riley's best friend but what I mean by 'famous maya' is the maya, josh talks about all the time. I've never really had a conversation with you, just a hi and bye, but I'm pretty sure I know everything about you cuz of josh" he said
My cheeks became all rosey and a smile grew on my face.
"He talks about me?"  I Asked
"Oh all the time. It's always 'mayA this maya that'. Maya's  beautiful. Maya's so artistic. Maya's so sassy. Maya is edgy. I never want to loose her. Blah blah blah" he said with a chuckle
"He does?" I asked
"Of course and I can see why."
I started to blush but the thought of loosing josh came across my mind and my whole Demeter changed, I think Josh's dad saw it cuz he said
"Don't worry blondie, he's gonna be okay. Riley's gonna be okay. Ur gonna be okay, as long as the stars are in the sky, there's hope for everyone"
"Yea but the sun comes out and the stars leave" I said
"Oh that's where ur wrong munchkin. Even tho you can't see the stars. Doesn't mean there gone. It's still there, they just formed all together to something bigger and better. Something we know as the sun. Ya see, when you go thru a difficult situation , things change, but they change for the better." He answered
"Thank you for helping me old man" I giggled.
"How did I helped you?" He asked
"You gave me a lill more hope. I needed that"
For a couple moments We just sat there, gazing at are feet, with thoughts in our mind
"He's a special one isn't he?" I said as I broke the silence
"He sure is. Don't loose him" he said
"I'll try not to"
"Try? No. Promise" he said as he reached his pinky out for me to tangle my pinky with to promise.
I looked at his finger then I reached out mine.
"I promise" I whispered

Suddenly a brunette nurse approached us and inturrupted our conversation.
"Um excuse me but josh would like to see um..maya? Do you know who is maya" she asked us
I raised my hand and said
"Um I'm right here"
"Oh I see. So like I was saying. Josh would like to see  you m'am"
I looked at her with confusion
"Wait isn't he aloud visitors at 5 or 6?" I asked
"Yea but he's been asking to see you since we rolled him onto the ambulance. His first sentence was "where's maya? I want to see her" when he woke up from his nap" she said with a giggle
"Wait so ur letting me see him earlier?"
"Sure, just don't tell anybody ok?"
she gave a lill wink and headed in another direction.

When I stood up from my chair I turned back around to Josh's dAd and said
"Thx granny"
Then I ran off to Josh's room but I swear I heard his voice say
"No problem, munchkin"

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile but thank you so much about 5k reads❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭I can't believe it!! I honestly thought I'd barely get 100 reads when I started❤️❤️ anyways...." WASSSSSS GUCCI"...
