"There's this guy at my school

And he looks pretty good"

-

I was walking through the school one day, and my best friend Michael walked up behind me. It was a weird friendship to anyone on the outside. Michael had his eyebrow pierced, along with his ears. He was the punk to everyone besides me.

And then there's this one idiot that literally all the girls threw themselves at. He knew Michael wasn't actually tough at all. It was stupid. He would let them practically throw their underwear at him, and didn't do a damn thing about it. He didn't even tell them to cover themselves up once.

But, back to more important things, like my best friend, Michael Clifford. He currently had his hair dyed jet black. If I'm being honest, Michael was actually pretty hot. Sadly, that fuckboy also was pretty hot.

His name was Luke Hemmings,

And I hated him.

He was basically the man-whore of the entire school, but, even I had to admit. He looks pretty good, but I would never even think about him like that.

Michael wrapped his arms around my waist, causing me to glare at my open locker. He always did this when he was about to make fun of my height.

"You're so cute Ashy! Look!" He said and put his head on top of mine. I took his hands off my waist, and he just chuckled. I never went a day without him teasing me about my height. He's done it for years, and I still get pissed off about it.

"Ready to go to study the plethora of angles, fractions, indices, percentages, powers, ratios, statistics and vectors?" I snapped my head around, knowing Michael would never in his entire life use that language. He wanted to drop out of school anyways.

He laughed, "I read the textbook in your hand." I glanced down, I honestly didn't even notice that I was holding my math textbook. "Shut up Gordon." I growled. "Okay Fletcher." He said.

I closed my locker, and we started walking to our damned maths class. It was right in the morning, and Luke Hemmings was in this class. He may be a fuckboy, but he is smart. Sadly.

Michael and I sat down next to each other, and I opened my text book. I went to the foreign currency section. We had a quiz on it, since most of us were going to college outside of Australia. Except Michael and I. We planned on going to the University of New South Wales, as it was close, and wasn't quite as expensive as the University of Sydney.

The University of Sydney was a lot better, but a shit load more money. I mean, I'd still get a degree, so what college does it actually matter? Exactly my point.

It was actually hard, to me anyways, to convert the Australian dollar to the American dollar. I studied the part until the teacher came in. He started to give out the tests, so I put my textbook away. I heard Michael whisper, "Good luck mate," To me, and I nodded. I held up two fingers, and then crossed them. It was our way of saying, 'ditto' or 'you too' to each other, but without words.

Once the test was over, we had free time. Hell, we could even go on our phones if we wanted. Michael and I just sat on the desks and talked, along with most of the class. We heard the bell ring, and we walked out to go to our lockers. We exchanged our books, and went to our next class.

When we were in the hallway, Michael said something to me. "You know, Ash. That Hemmings boy was looking at you." He said with a wink.

I groaned, "Really Michael? I honestly don't care. He's a complete fuckboy."

When we approached the next class, we separated because the teacher, Ms Russo, hated us.

"Alright class. Here's a pop quiz. Enjoy!" She said, and had someone hand out the quizzes. The whole class groaned, not wanting to do anything. I reluctantly started working on the quiz that was handed to me.

When I went to hand in my quiz because I was finished, I saw Luke looking at me. He wasn't actually looking at me, more just zoned out in my direction. I noticed he looked a bit upset, and didn't even pick up his pencil. I walked over to him, and luckily his seat in right in front of Michael's. I tapped his desk, and he looked up at me. He was slightly pouting, and then seemed to snap into things.

He placed a smirk atop his lips, picked up his pencil and slowly bit the eraser. I rolled my eyes at the fuckboy, and kept walking. I ruffled Michael's hair, because I can and he made fun of my height earlier.

I sat back down in my seat, and just stared off. Though, I didn't notice Luke looking at me pouting.
