The Squad sticks together (Book one in the Last Hero Trilogy)

Prologue

(WARNING: THIS IS  FEELS CHAPTER!)

Percy P.O.V

Hack, slash, dodge, check the rest, repeat. This has been going on for a while now, and the monsters aren't giving up. I have scratches cuts and wounds, but I don't care, as long as my friends and my wise girl are alive.  I just killed another dracane when I heard a scream that I was dreading to hear. Both Jason and Frank were hit forcefully by a cyclopes club. This can't be happening. The rest of the seven ran to their sides, Piper and Hazel were crying, telling their boyfriends they would be okay.

"Piper, just know that I love you, I'll see you there." Jason smiled,

"No Jason, you'll be fine! I know you will!" Piper protested, more tears spilling from her face.

"Frank, please stay with me." Hazel pleaded.

"I love you Hazel," Frank kissed her cheek, Jason did the same with Piper. "See you there." Then the light vanished from their eyes.

"No.." I whispered, but it was too late, Frank and Jason are gone. I closed their eyes and slipped a darchama in their hands so they could get to the underworld safely. While I did that, Piper and Hazel avenged their dead boyfriends by killing the cyclopes that killed them.  Me and Annabeth continued fighting and slowly started making our way towards Gaia. Suddenly a Hell-hound was about to tackle us but Piper jumped in the way, the Hell-hound mawing her to death. Her last words were "I'm coming Jason!"

"Piper..." Annabeth whimpered. I need to protect the others. I can't have everyone else die on me

Leo and Hazel stuck with Annie and I as we continued making our way towards dirt face. She noticed us and started shooting up earth tendrils around us. Hazel suddenly pushed Leo when out of nowhere a tendril came up and impaled her through the stomach.

"Hazel!" Leo exclaimed, he was starting to cry, "First Jason and Frank, then Piper, now Hazel..."

"Come on Leo! We gotta keep moving! We got to get rid of Gaia! For the others!" I encouraged him. I didn't want him to get so sidetracked on mourning that he ends up getting himself killed.

"Right..." He muttered, taking down a hell-hound with his fire.  He whistled and in a flash, a newly built Festus came roaring overhead. Leo jumped on it's back and started taking down the monsters from above. We were lucky that we finished the giants early in the fight. It's just bad that Gaia captured the gods in earthy prisons so they can't help us anymore.

When me and Annabeth approached Mother Earth, I whispered in her ear, "Promise me you won't die, Wise Girl,"

"I Promise, Seaweed Brain." She whispered back, we got in fighting position, but we didn't notice Gaia was already fighting I then hear someone yell, "I'm coming for you, Calypso!" And Festus crashed into Gaia, flames everywhere. 

"Leo!" I yelled, but it was too late, Leo's gone too.

Gaia laughed evilly as we slowly approached her, "Preparing yourselves for defeat, aren't you, demigods?"

"You should be the one preparing for defeat, Dirtbag!" I yelled, I was ready to murder her for what she did to my friends. Our combat began soon afterwards, me tossing many insults to get her distracted and Annabeth attacking her when Gaia had an opening. I slashed at an opening and saw ichor pouring out. Soon it was earth Sword on Bone Sword on regular sword. We were fighting like demons, but Gaia wasn't giving up. Suddenly, Gaia knocked me over and was about to stab me. Time seemed to slow down as Annabeth jumped in front of me and took the stab, right in the heart. I screamed her name as she fell down on the ground. Everyone stopped moving. Monsters stopped, Gods stopped, even Gaia looked horrified about what she did.

"Please Wise Girl, stay with me! You promised! You weren't going to die!" I cried, holding her limp body in my arms.

"I'm sorry, Seaweed Brain, some promises are too hard to keep." She whispered. She used the last of her strength to kiss me before she died in my arms.

I gently closed her eyes, slipped a darchama in her cold hand, kissed her one last time, and laid her down. Gaia was going to pay.

My eyes glared daggers at her. Every step I took, I made an earthquake. I heard the collapse of buildings, but I didn't care. I want my revenge.

"I'm sorry." Gaia wimmperd as she backed away from me.

"Sorry isn't going to cut it, B*tch." I hissed. Now I know, Your're probably thinking: Percy cursed! What is the world coming to? But I had a right, she just killed my girlfriend.

I summoned all the water I could and made a huge water army, and they started slaughtering the monsters around me. Then I created a hurricane and used the extreme winds to lift Gaia off the ground. Then I used water in the air to propel me strait at Gaia's heart, while boiling her blood in the processed. She screamed in pain and evaporated into nothingness. The Earth Mother is dead, and I killed her.
