She Didn't mean to [Completed]

Chapter 2

* Next Morning *

I woke up at 5am and did my morning routine. I realised after getting dressed that its Saturday and I'm not going to school. I took off my clothes and went back to sleep

* 11 am *
I woke up to sound of my phone ringing. I search for it under the sheets and answer it without looking at the caller id.

"Hello??": I say in a sleepy voice

"Hi, friend. Why does it sound like you still sleeping": I hear Breë's voice

"Yeah I am sleeping, Oh come on its Saturday and sun is nice hot. Let's go to the swimming pools"

"With who??"

"The squad and some of our guy friends from school"

"Okay cool, lemme get ready then"

"I'll come pick you up in an hour"

I hang up then go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower again. I wear high waisted shorts and my favourite 'H for Hailey' crop top. I look for my swimsuit then put in my big handbag, together with my towel, sunscreen and a body lotion. I put on my sandals and run downstairs.

I make myself a quick breakfast and eat it in front of the tv. I'm always alone, My mom is always at work, My sister lives in her own apartment with her daughter and My dad went back to South Africa after he and my mom divorced. He visits once in a while.

I finish my food and go back upstairs to fetch my bag and phone. I wait downstairs for Breë to get here. That girls one hour is a whole day: I thought to myself. Then finally hear a car pull up in front of my door and the door bell rings. I go the door to check who it was.

A tall muscular guy was standing outside my door. I look up at him.
"Yes??": I ask him

He keeps on staring at me without saying word.
"Hello! Earth to you!": I say waving my hands in his face

He moves back and nearly falls. "Uhm sorry, Breë is waiting for you": he says quickly then walks back to the car. I wave at Breë, then go back inside to fetch my bag. I switch off the tv and go to the car.

I get into the car and greet everyone. Breë laughs then drives off. Everyone was silent, I was sitting there thinking who are these guys in Breë's car. I've seen them before but anyway I will find out soon

We arrive and Bree turns around to look at us.
"So Hailey, these are cousins": Breë informs me. Robert, she points to the one who came to my door. Jamie, she points to the one with freckles on his face sitting next to me. And Oliver, she points to the one on the other side, he is skinnier than the other two. "Hi guys": I say then open the door realising that I already greeted them

"Damn, its hot": I change the topic and they nod in Agreement. This is awkward, why aren't these guys talking or something and I thought Breë said guys from school.

We got out of the car, we could hear music from the other side of the places gates. We paid and went through. Breë texted Jennifer to check where they were, so we could join them. We followed Breë to where all the others were.

"Hey Hailey": Robert says

"Yes??": I reply

"I'm sorry for earlier, You are just so...": He says

"Save it!": I say before he finishes his sentence

" but... " he says

"I know what you gonna say, so please don't it will mean a lot" I say

"Okay then" he says

We arrive to the spot where everyone was chilling.
"Hi guys" Breë and I shout and start hugging everyone. Robert, Oliver and Jamie just wave hello and Breë introduces them. Sharney quickly grabbed Robert by her side and started chatting to him. "Typical Sharney" I thought to myself

"Hailey, would you like a drink?" Jake asked
"Sure" I agree and he hands me purple reign. Why am I not surprised? Jake loves his alcohol. He is Breë first boyfriend, they dated for 4 years then they broke up because well Jake is a lying, Cheating Jerk. We forgave his sorry Ass and now we all good friends

We changed into our swimsuits and got into the pool. Obviously Sharney was flirting around with Robert, swimming together and laughing. No I'm not jealous, I just saw him first and he was interested in me first but its okay he ain't worth it. I got out the water and put on the towel around my waist. I walk over to where the other guys were grilling the meat.

"Hey, Calvin need some help?" I ask

"Sure that would mean a lot" he agrees. I help him season the meat and to grill it.

Calvin is Grace's boyfriend. If the girls were to see me with him they give me horrible names like 'boyfriend stealer' or something. They've never wannet me next to their boyfriends because I somehow lead 'em into temptation.

After 30 minutes, I tell him to call the others since the food is ready. I served everyone then went to the bathrooms to change into the clothes I was wearing earlier on. I just don't feel like being here anymore. I go back to the others and grab Breë to the side

"Babe, M going home" I say to her

"Why? What's wrong" she asks worried

"I'm just not feeling well, I'll call a cab don't worry" I reply

"Okay then, call me when you get home" she says

We walk back to the others. "Uhm bye guys, m not feeling well, so I'm heading home" I say to 'em
Robert rushes over to me "Oh come on, you looked fine earlier on " he says

"Yeah, I agree but now I'm not okay. Just enjoy yourself with Sharney, She is a very bright girl with a great personality" I reply

"Oh I see what this is about" he says playing with his chin

"Don't flatter yourself Nigga, I don't vibe with you like that. Actually we don't vibe" I say walking away

I call a cab. It arrived and I climbed in, I gave the driver my house address and just sat back there thinking of what had happened today. Why am I such a coward? But I was right for letting things go, I don't wanna cause drama. I arrive home and head straight to bed. Hope its a better day tomorrow. I put my phone on the charger and fall asleep
