Occult Studies

School again. This morning Elena had more time to get ready and finish her breakfast.

Caroline picked her up like yesterday and both Bonnie and Tyler was already in. When they arrived at school Elena saw Matt.

"Matt. Hey!" He turned around and she walked to him. Was he sad, surprised or happy? She couldn't tell. Was he still upset over the breakup? It has been three years, he must have moved on and lived his life. Maybe Elena shouldn't be the one to say someone must learn to move on and live their life after the last three years but she went through a much bigger loss.

Then his face lit up and he smiled, his cute innocent boy smile and walked to her. He put his arms around her and gave her a big hug, almost like a boyfriend-girlfriend hug.
"Look at you. You are beautiful. Happy." His smile was even bigger now.

Okay, obviously he wasn't sad or upset. He was just weird. Why is he acting like this? Is it because he thinks he have a chance to win her back? If that's the case, Elena will have to hurt him again. They didn't work as a couple, he knows that too.

Or is he just himself? He is always happy and caring so maybe he just wants to become friends again.

What should she say? She couldn't say it back it would only make everything worse. It ended with a short thanks.

Bonnie saw Elena and Matt talking, it seemed very awkward so she walked to them.

"Hi, Matt. How are you?" She hadn't talked to him in days.

"Hi, Bon. I'm good." Bonnie could tell from his face that he wasn't happy about her coming over to them. Did he actually try to get Elena back the day after she returned? That's not like him. He was definitely not over her.

He has been on a few dates but not more than four or five. She actually felt bad for him but she is best friend with Elena which means she's always on her side, especially when it comes to boys.

"Do you have occult studies with us?" At least she tried to sound nice and keep her anger because of what he's doing, inside.

"No I have football with Tyler. Which is starting right now. See you later." Before he left he smiled at Elena and stared at her for a couple of seconds.

Elena, Bonnie and Caroline walked to class. Occult studies... Something Bonnie will be very good at.

Elena looked at her right, where the teacher's desk stood with a big brown briefcase next to it. Next to the briefcase stood a man, a really hot man actually. Almost as hot as the two brothers she met yesterday. No, not that hot, but too hot for a teacher. He couldn't be the teacher. No one in this class who is attracted to guys would be able to concentrate.

"Hi. My name is Alaric Saltzman and I'm you teacher in occult studies. You probably want to pronounce Ala-ric, but it's A-lar-ic."

Caroline looked at Elena with a smirk and shaped the words he is hot with her mouth. Typical Caroline even though she has a boyfriend, but Elena couldn't but agree. I know she formed her mouth back to Caroline.

"Am I interrupting something?"

Whole class starred at her and her cheeks started to turn red so she looked down in hope he would talk about something else which he did.

"Today we are only going to talk about what occult studies are and the real lesson starts tomorrow. So what is occult studies? Anyone who has a good answer?"

Bonnie raised her hand. Alaric looked at her and nodded.

"Occult is paranormal. Like spirits."

"Yeah that's right, miss?"

"Bennett. Bonnie Bennett."

"That's correct miss Bennett. But in this class we are going to learn about many other things than spirits. Occult can also be the supernatural. Vampire, Werewolves and witches."

When he said the last thing, witches, he looked at Bonnie in a weird way. Did he know she was a witch, how?

After class they ran out from the classroom and to the cafeteria.

"Bonnie, does he know you are a witch?" Caroline whispered.

"I don't know. How could he know, it's not like I have walked around telling people. The only ones who know is you two, my parents and Tyler." Bonnie looked at Caroline with an angry look.

"No I haven't told anyone, I swear! And Tyler haven't said anything either." How could she be sure Tyler hadn't told anyone? But why would he, there is no point.

Suddenly someone pulled one of the chairs out. Everyone looked up, it was Stefan. And a few seconds later Damon stood by his side.

"Can we sit here?"

Everyone started at the ridiculous hot guys in front of them. They wanted to sit by their table.

"Yes, of course. Of course." Elena said a little too enthusiastically. They laughed a little and sat down.

"So what are you girls talking about?" Stefan asked.

Everyone sat quite.

"We are talking about the party on Friday." That's right, it's a party on Friday. Elena had totally forgot about it, but of course Caroline remembers.

"It is a back to school party at the back of the school. You need to come."

"Yeah, sure, we will be there!" Stefan answered and smiled to Caroline.

Damon was too distracted by staring at Elena. He didn't even blink. It was a little creepy but Elena didn't want to say anything. Stefan punched his arm a little and he woke up and stopped staring.

It was something about him. She was sure she had seen him before somewhere or somehow. Maybe in a dream because he was too perfect to be real.
