A New Beginning

Chapter 11

Full moon

It's been over three weeks since Elena started to avoid the Salvatore brothers. She hasn't seen them in school and when she got home she has spent almost all her time with Bonnie who has been doing a spell that keeps Elena's house safe from vampires.

It has been three incredible weeks. Elena had forgot how much she loved spending time with Bonnie. Even though she could never choose between her and Caroline, she had something special with Bonnie. They had a bond that was bigger than family and they had finally started to build that up again. When they talk they don't need to say everything in words, they understand each-other anyway and that friendship is worth more than anything.

Bonnie have shown Elena more types of magic and spells that she has learned since last year. She can make things fly and turn on fire. And find things and persons around the world. The last one was a bit tricky because she needs blood from the persons she is going to locate.

Elena has been talking with Caroline a few times. She and Tyler have a really hard time right now with everything going on. Apparently they have tried to make Tyler manage his strength and anger and it has been much better according Caroline. He has learned to know the warnings and tries to think about something else that makes him calmer, and easier be able to control himself.

It's Saturday morning and Bonnie stayed at Elena's over night. They have been lying in bed the whole morning talking and watching movies. At 3pm Jeremy walked in and asked if they were going to stay in there all day. When he told them what time it was they suddenly realized how hungry they were.

After lunch Elena's phone rang. It was Caroline.
"Elena I need you now!"
"What is going on?" Caroline didn't use to scream like this. She sounded really scare which made Elena feel just as scared.

"It's about Tyler."
"What's about him? Have he hurt you?" Elena thought he had learned to control himself by now.
"No he haven't. But he is a werewolf, and tonight is a full moon."
Omg, Caroline was right. Elena had totally forgot about it. She knew Tyler was a werewolf but she never thought about the consequences. A werewolf turns to a wolf every full moon.

"How long is it left?"
"We still have 6 hours until the moon reach its highest point. But according to one of his ancestor's diaries the transformation can start a few hours before then. Especially when it's the first time."
"So what are we going to do?"
"Please just come here. Tyler is going to need all help and support he can."

Elena and Bonnie took the car and drove to Caroline's house.
"Thank you for coming so fast." Caroline said as soon as she opened the door.
"Of course. No problem."
"Do you have any idea how we are going to do this or what is going to happen?"
"We have been reading the diaries whole week so I think we are as prepared as we can be."

Caroline started to talk about the Tyler's ancestors' diaries and about the werewolf course. Apparently everyone in his bloodline have the course but it's not triggered until you kill someone. Even if it's an accidentally, as in Tyler's case.

When someone is turning to a wolf they will get extra strength and need to be locked up with chains around arms and legs to prevent escape. In the diaries it stood how a transformation feels like and everyone who tried to explain couldn't. It was too painful to put into words.

After they had talked for an hour they all drove to the old lockwood property.
From the outside it just looked like ruins but when you walked down the stairs to the underground cellar it was a room full with chains and door made of iron.

"We should really call Damon and Stefan." Caroline said and took up her mobile.
"Are you insane? We can't do that, they are vampires." Tyler started to pull the chains to make sure they were stuck in the wall.
