Kingdom Hearts

Chapter 1

Just another day on our little island. We're building a raft so we can go and visit other worlds. I've lived here for ten years with Riku, Sora and Kairi as well as their families. I'm not from the Islands, I come from another world called The Land of Departure but...It's gone now. They all know that my world is lost, Kairi thinks the same about her world Radiant Garden and it is. I was there when it happened. Unlike the others who are still in their teens I'm twenty, the youngest Keyblade master in history but it's been years since I've had to use my trusty blade, ten years to be exact. As per usual Sora was sleeping on the beach, Kairi was trying to wake him up. The only ones doing any real work was me and Riku again! "So guess we're the only ones working on the raft again and you're just as lazy as he is!" Riku teased slightly. "So you noticed" Kairi laughed. "C'mon let's finish it together. The sooner it's done, the sooner we can start adventuring!" I grinned, that got them motivated. The boys had another race, Riku won and then we got to work!

Sora was in charge of gathering construction materials today, if the goofball didn't fall asleep again. Riku and I were building up the raft with what he already had. "How many worlds do you think are out there?" Riku asked, tying some of the logs together. "Well they say that the stars in the sky are actually the other worlds. If that's true then there's way more than I can count" I laughed quietly. "Think we could find your world? Maybe Kairi's too?" I shook my head. "My world has been gone for a long time now...But we could always look for Kairi's world!" I grinned as Sora and Kairi walked over with more supplies. "Oh so you two did something useful?" I teased "gimme a break Y/N!" Sora laughed before looking at Riku "what? You wanna go a round?" The silver haired boy asked "okay you're on!" Sora ran away off to get his sword. "Everything's. Competition between you two huh?" Kairi asked "keeps things interesting" Riku chuckled. Sora came back with a wooden toy sword and the two started to fight, after a few dodges and blocks Sora got some good hits in. "Alright! Now the scores one to zero!" He grinned. "So all those other times where Riku beat you don't count anymore huh?" I asked with a laugh. When the sun started to set, we sat on our tree, the long bendy one. It was the weirdest teree on the island but it made a great hangout spot!

"So Kairi's home is out there somewhere, right?" Riku nodded as he looked out to the sparkling sea. "Could be, we'll never know by staying here" he answered. "But how far would a raft take us?" "Only one way to find out" I chuckled. "Exactly besides if we have to, we'll think of something else" Riku added. "So, suppose you get to another world. What would you do there?" Kairi asked us. "Mm...I dunno. Haven't thought too much about it" I shrugged. "If there are any other worlds out there, why did we end up on this? That's why we need to go out there and find out, just sitting here won't change a thing." I smiled at him, he's so determined to go out there but none of them know the dangers awaiting them. Though...It has been ten years so maybe everything is ok now. We had a race to the boats before heading home.

The next day, the raft itself was fully built! All we needed was food supplies but there was also something else we needed to do. Name our raft! Riku's choice was Highwind Sora's was Excaliber. "We'll deal with it like we usually do then! Kairi and myself shall be the referees! First one to touch the star and come back wins!" The boys walked up to the start line. "Three...Two...One! Go!" The boys ran off, full speed. Sora got to the zipline first putting him ahead. He jumped across the tree tops as Riku ran up the ramp and started to do the same but Sora got to the star just a few seconds before Riku did. It was a close but Sora was victorious! "Sora is the victor! The raft shall be named Excaliber!" I cheered. We all got to work, collecting coconuts, fruits, mushrooms, seagull egga and fresh water. Looks like our next adventure will be just around the corner. I saw Sora run into the secret cave. I didn't like that place, it was creepy and it had a bizarre door which couldn't be opened though with my Keyblade it'd probably easy.

After a few minutes, I got worried so went in after him. He was drawing on one of the walls like they all used to do when they were younger. He was adding a Papou fruit to the drawing of him and Kairi, if two people share one their destinies are forever entwined. "Oh~ You want to share a papou with Kairi huh?" Sora jumped at my voice. "No fair! You scared me Y/N!" I laughed quietly at him, ruffling his hair before...Something else was here. We looked around the room before seeing someone in a cloak. "Who are you?" He didn't answer the question, instead he spoke "I've come to see the door to this world. This world has been connected." Connected? Connected to what? Sora asked what he was talking about but his questions remained unanswered. "Tied to the Darkness...Soon to be completely eclipsed. You do not yet know what lies beyond the door, there is so much to learn. You both understand so little. One who knows nothing can understand nothing." We looked over at the door and the cloaked figure disappeared.

"What was that all about?" I shook my head with a sigh. "I don't know...Probably not important. C'mon let's get back to the others" I smiled before we exited the cave. The sun started to set again, Riku and I joined the other two on the docks. "What are you talking about?" "We were talking about leaving on the raft with you" Kairi teased. "Is that so?" Riku chuckled. "I can't wait to see what's really out there! It's gonna be fun!" Sora smiled. "Well we're all ready right? Let's go tomorrow" I grinned. Little did we know, that would be the last time we spent under the same sunset for a very long time.
