And it is.
But I can't stop the voices,
The demons running around
The feeling of a million people yelling horrible things.

"Get over it"

They don't seem to see that these scars
Are my escape,
The pain clears my head,
If only for a second.

But it's all in my head.

Because this fake smile hides just enough,
The sleeves are just the right length,
To make them think I'm better.

"See? You got better"
"You're alright now"
"It was all in your head"

But maybe someday I will leave this all.
I'll just die, and they'll see if I am better then.

And I'll tell them,

Get over it.

This is not your fault
But it is,
And I can't stop the thoughts,
As I tumble along the abyss,
As I make my way through the others, Who speak to me like robots.
"Get over it"

They don't know what I do know,
That this is all my fault,
The grave, on which no flowers grow,
The story remaining untold
And I am the guilty one

I feel for all of your fake smiles,
I never questioned your long sleeves,
Too numb to hear your silent screams.

"You couldn't have known"
"We all thought they were okay"
"You are probably better off on your own"
"There was nothing else for you to say"

I wish you would know that my world was shattered when you left us all,
I hope you are better now,
wherever you are,
While I am still here,
crying at your funeral,
Just please,
don't tell me to "Get over it"
Because I never shall.
