Nakajima Atsushi x Reader: Dissappear

"Atsushi, where's (Y/N)?" Dazai yelled, gripping the boy by the shoulders. Atsushi's face fell in defeat. He was silent, unable to speak...

"(Y/N)-chan, please. Don't do this!" he yelled, worried. His strong arms held your wrist and his eyes glistened with tears.
"Atsushi-kun, don't worry about me. I'm fine. I'm always fine," you said softly.
"No! Please, let me help you! You can't deal with this on your own, so let me in. Stop shutting me out! I love you, you mean the world to me and I want to see you better, I want to protect you!" he said, his voice shaky and cracking. You turned around to face him, tears streaming down your cheeks.
"Then if you love me let me disappear!" you cried out. He stood, shocked, loosening his grip on your wrist. You seized the opportunity and grabbed your coat, running out the door into the chilling winter air.

The cold hit your face, sending and electrifying chill down your spine. You wrapped your oversized poncho closer to your body and looked around for an escape route. The door handle jiggled, and you knew you had to act quickly. Not caring about yourself anymore, you hopped off the balcony, slipping a little due to the ice coated metal. You landed on the ground rather harshly, feeling something pop in your foot. You winced at the pain, but ignored it once you started to limp aimlessly into the distance. Atsushi, in his frustration decided not to follow you, but instead called Dazai. Being the lonely and crazy person he is, Dazai picked up immediately. He realized the situation and rushed to help Atsushi.

Within at least 10 minutes, Dazai arrived at Atsushi's complex, but you were long gone in that time.

"Atsushi-kun, hey! I can't help you if you don't answer me!" he screamed at the shaken boy.
"Sh-she's gone. She left. I don't know where she is," he mumbled, still staring off into the distance. Dazai's patience was running short.

"C'mon, we don't have time to waste," he snapped, grabbing Atsushi's wrist and pulling him. Happy memories of Atsushi and you ran through the boy's head, and he began to cry. He couldn't stop crying, no matter how hard he tried. Atsushi loved you too much, and he knew you loved him back once upon a time. Things were different now, and that's what hurt him the most.

You stood on the bridge, staring at the lightly frozen river. Snowflakes fell and rested on your body, coating you with a thin blanket of white.
"If I jump it'll hurt. I might die," you thought to yourself, not really trusting your thoughts. Your heart began to beat faster, waking up some sense in you. You didn't want to die, but you didn't know how to cope with your issues at the moment.

"(Y/N)!" a familiar voice yelled. You saw a blurry figure running towards you.
(Y/N), (Y/N) please don't this! You mean so much to me and everyone else at the Agency!" it was Dazai. Hearing his words, tears began to stream down your face once again.

"Dazai-san, I'm sorry," you choked out, clutching your chest tightly. Atsushi ran towards you as you began to sway on the narrow barrier.
"(Y/N)!" he screamed as he jumped over the barrier, pulling you tightly into him. Strong, furry, and warm arms wrapped around you, and then it was water, cold water. You couldn't function, your body limp in his grasp. The water stung your body like millions of wasps, but you didn't know it.
"Am I dead? No, I wouldn't be able to think if I died," you reasoned. Icy liquid filled your lungs, making you gasp and claw at the invisible predator. The cold air hit your wet body, making your skin turn a light shade of blue. A weight tugged at your chest, and a violent spurt of now lukewarm water spewed out. An ambulance pulled up on the side of the road, and you were picked up and put into a cramped room. There were lights, only lights and the occasional thump and bump of whatever you were laid on. Lights. That's all you could remember, even when you slipped out of conciousness. There were bright lights, and when you woke up, it was Dazai and Atsushi.

"Wh-what are you guys doing here? Where am I?" you inquired, slightly slurring your words as if you were in a drunken state. Multiple IV tubes protruded from your body and a bag of yellowish liquid hung over you.

"What's wrong with you? Do you even realize how dangerous that was?" Atsushi quietly yelled. You slowly blinked, staring at him. His hand rested on yours and his intense multi-coloured gaze was fixated on you.
"That was really scary, and I'm the suicidal freak here," Dazai added. You looked back and forth between your two collegues, tears brimming in your eyes.
"I'm sorry guys. I never meant for any of this to happen, I never meant to cause you trouble. I-I,"
"Shh, just stop. You need to rest. We can talk about this after you get discharged," Atsushi said, stroking your cheek with his thumb. You melted in his warm touch, remembering every stroke and movement. Your eyes closed as you recalled your memories with him. A silent tear trickled down your cheek.

After many physcological and physical tests to prove your health, the hospital discharged you. Atsushi came to pick you up, escorting you to the car that Kunikida was driving.

"Atsushi I'm..." you were abruptly cut off by his warm and soft lips. It had been so long since you felt them. He tasted like herbal tea.
Pulling away, he looked into your eyes, happy to see them lit with passion and joy once again.
"Promise me that you'll never dissappear, because if you do, I'll have no one to protect. No one to hold and cuddle with at night. No one to take care of when they're sick. No one to spend the rest of my life with. I'll have no purpose, and I'll try to disappear. I don't want that, and neither do you, so promise me. Promise me that you'll continue to love me, and hold me, and comfort me, because I vow to do the same," he stated. His words were so touching. Hugging him tightly and crying, you whispered something.
             ..."I promise,"...

Now that's edgy as fuck! Idk why I became so emo in this chapter but oh well I guess...
