Travis POV
After me and Katelyn's moment yesterday, everything was kind of awkward. I didn't know what to do,like was she my girlfriend again, or did I have to ask her. I didn't know if she was just upset about having to share a room with me or something. She just said sorry and we haven't really talked since then. Maybe I pushed her to far, I slept on the couch last night like she said I would ,but Katelyn, I could hear her crying in the other room all night. Was it something I did, did I trigger her? Whatever it was, I hope she'll be ok soon enough.
Katelyn POV
I should talk to Travis, I was thinking about him all night, I miss him. He's right in front of me, but I've never felt so far from him. Agh, I gotta stop being so mushy, I sound like a poet or Shakespeare. Today we were going to the park, but I was exhausted, I hadn't slept all night. At least Aqua wasn't awake, so maybe I would have time to talk to him. I went out into the living room to the smell of waffles, a really good smell, but I wasn't as excited as I thought I was, or at least I didn't look it because Travis said
"God, Katelyn! Are you alright?!"
"You asshole, I'm fine"
"You don't sound fine, you were crying all night"
"..."
"Are you sure everything's all right? You also bursted out crying last night an-"
"sHUT UP"
I felt a tear roll down my cheek, why did he have to bring it up, I felt my heart become heavy.
"Katelyn..."
"I-I meant t-to talk to you a-about that..."
Travis looked at me with concern in his eyes
Travis POV
I wanted to hug her so badly, but I didn't want to make her angry again. She began to talk but my mind was someplace else, her words were muffled, I tried to concentrate, but couldn't. Slowly I felt like everything was becoming difficult again, I can't describe even in my own mind. I felt lightheaded.
"Travis?"
Everything came back to me in an instant.
"Huh?"
"Are you alright? Are you paying attention"
"Uh, no I-I don't know what happened sorry"
She looked upset and actually started blushing
"It's cool, I-I'm kind of glad you didn't hear"
Her last words in a whisper
"What was that?"
"Nothing..."
It went silent after that, until Aquas door opened and she stepped out, Katelyn heard it, but stood still. I went up to her.
"Morning beautiful"
I grabbed her in my arms
"Daddy...I don't feel too good"
I felt her head and she was burning,
"Probably got it from someone in the plane. Alright I guess we're staying in today, go get some more sleep ok pumpkin~"
"Alright"
"Come get me if you need anything"
She didn't say anything but I knew she heard. I turned around and Katelyn was gone, but I heard her crying in her room again. I put away the waffles since no one was eating them. I went to Katelyn's door and knocked, the crying seemed to stop for a little moment, but starts again in an instant.
"Kate..."
Nothing.
"Please..."
Silence.
"I'm coming in"
Us.
I opened Katelyn's door with ease, she was in her bed, covered in blankets, I went and sat beside her
