LollipopGal390's Entry:

"Without Wattpad, I don't think I would be as happy as I am today. My whole life, I have been searching for people who share the same interests in writing with me, and when I found Wattpad, it was like my life had a new meaning! The people here, the books, the encouragement, and enthusiasm for writing is unlike anywhere else I have been. Of course, there are schoolmates who share the same writing interests as me, but Wattpad is so much more than that. Any free time I have, I spend on it, and in two months of being on here, I feel that I have found my destiny. The audience I am able to share my work with is endless, and the support of the community has literally changed my life. Nobody is discriminated, nobody is bullied, and nobody is excluded from writing, because it is a gift. A gift that has been bestowed upon each and every one of us. A gift that will never be returned. All because of our love for it. Nothing can ever change the immense amount of gratitude I have for the Wattpad Community, for the stories, and for being able to express myself, no matter what. Every single person here is uplifted by each other, helping to mold and shape their writing, until it is at the best of their abilities. There is such a wide variety of genres and themes on here, that nobody ever turns away from here dissatisfied. It is a home for all of us. I have met such a large amount of people from all over the world, some of them even being my neighbors, whom I never acknowledged because I never witnessed their writing abilities. Personally, I wish to thank @forgottenwords928, @CatQueen2020, @amyamuo07, @man_and_kid, and @jule009 because they have been so supportive of me, and helped me achieve the highest in what I love the most, writing. It's also the authors like @Lucyface, @Adrian_Birch, @RealisticWriting, @LeighWStuart, @knightsrachel, @KellyAnneBlount, @linahanson, and @krazydiamond, that have helped me get to where I am today. Thank you, and I love you all so much!" -LollipopGal390

h2-no-'s Entry:

I'm very gratefully that WattPad exists and to the entirety of the app's community, the whole beauty in WattPad is anyone can use it. From a teenager hoping to get achieve their dream of writing a book, to a middle aged writer looking to publish their own story. When I was a child, I had a speech impediment. I could not pronounce the letters 'r', 's', and 'l'- since most of the kids my age couldn't understand me, I didn't have many friends. Which is the reason why I like books, they provided the company I needed and the adventurous lifestyle that I longed to have. My speech impediment is mostly gone now, and I don't have to miss class to practice sounding out words anymore. But the telltale signs are still there- when I get excited or talk fast, the words come up in a jumble; I don't have many true friends and worst of all, I get laughed at practically every time I speak. That's the reason why WattPad is so important to me because no one can hear you when you're writing. On WattPad, people don't form opinions on what you look like or sound like, they judge you based upon your writing. Truly, it's an inspiring place that makes even a cynical person like me happy. We're one community, one huge group of friends, and one family. No matter where you live, what language you speak, your age, or anything else- deep down, we're the same. We all may be connected to everyone else in the world in 6 degrees, but on WattPad, we're connected in one. And that's why I'm grateful towards WattPad and everyone using it.

blueberryelayme's Entry:

"Wattpad is a place for me. When I'm not at school talking to no one or at home ignoring my siblings I come here. A place where I know it's possible for my dreams to come true. A place where I'm not an outsider for liking trilogies. It's my home away from home and I couldn't ask for better. I love it and it loves me by giving me votes on my stories, making me laugh and cry. Making me different from the girl at the back of the room. I love Wattpad. And it loves me. I'll be sure to, if I ever become a writer, thank Wattpad and it's creators for its creation. I've read books I never would have tried if not recommended. I'm not rich and was able to read classics that I never would've been able to without this app. I read everywhere now. I progress and I help others achieve their dreams by voting on their works. I hope this is around for years to come. I hope future users become more creative and kids like me use this site to express themselves instead of a gun or knife." -blueberryelayme

eosophobic's Entry:

"once upon a time, there was a girl who never spoke and a voice that was never used. this girl learned to hide, learned how to write in the dark, learned how to shut her laptop when anyone came around the corner. she learned how to tame her inner voice and mastered the art of stifling words. in her household, creativity was muffled. and then one day, she found this beautiful orange world where thousands, millions of people could see her work and appreciate it, something she never even allowed herself to do. it took her weeks to find the courage to post her first work. and then she was soaring, writing and pressing "publish" and now that little girl, mute with words, began to speak, began to listen, began to love the words, began to create them. then she was expressing her love of those words, through manipulation and patience and graphics — her own way of giving back to the community. she began to make friends, began to make life-long friends that she laughed with, cried with, and even as she aged and grew away from friends she could touch and see, these friends of online words and orange love would never leave. and so, the little girl found her notebook, turned on the light, and wrote her own happily ever after." -eosophobic
