20 years after giving up on Alpha (wait, this isn't how the last part ended! Garrett never gave up! Let's try that again!)
3 months after the major setback when Taka, Saw, Ringo, Kestrel and Catherine raided my lab and destroyed Alpha, it has been a long trip to completing and building Alpha. Her physical infrastructure is completely finished. The reason it took so long is because while programming her ultimate, her Termination Protocol, the ability kept on activating, thus destroying the bot, thus having me restart six times in the past 3 months. I am determined to finish Alpha, and it has been 3 weeks since the last explosion. The problem is that pressing "enter" on the keyboard of my computer will activate Termination Protocol, which will result in me restarting a 7th time. No hero has taken this long to create.
The programming is finished now. I started to commence Code Transfer sequence, a sequence where the coding for Alpha starts transferring to Alpha's physical body. It should be completed in about half an hour.
I went to the Pot Pot Cafe for a drink, where I saw my own creations hanging out. There hasn't been another match against the rogue characters, meaning that these guys can do whatever they want for now.
I went up to the barkeep and paid for a Calcyon Hold, the most popular soft drink there is around here. The barkeep seemed awfully familiar. It almost seems like he's an aged version of Taka. He has a couple scars on his face, and his eye is very red.
"Would you like a receipt for that, sir?" he said. It is Taka! His voice is the same as his!
"Taka?" I asked. "What on earth are you doing here?"
"You happened. After that incident 3 months ago, word got out, and your Heroes started focusing on hunting us down and capturing us. Luckily, they agreed to let me stay alive as long as I gave them free drinks. You did this to me. You are responsible for me being here, and you are responsible for me losing my friends."
"It isn't my fault, Taka. If you didn't go rogue in the first place, then you wouldn't be here now. You could have been fighting valiantly for the Halcyon Fold at this moment, but you decided to betray me. Goodbye, Taka." As I left the bar, everyone said bye to me, and good luck to building Alpha. They like me. They really like me.
I put down my drink next to my desk. I turned on the computer monitor. The screen said "Code Transfer Completed. Click anywhere to continue and finish protocols for "Alpha"". I cannot believe it. Alpha will be completed with one single tap. Let's do it!
I clicked the mouse and quickly rushed over to Alpha's body. I waited. And then, all of a sudden, Alpha moved and looked down to me. Her voice box spoke, "You are L, 3, 3, T, N, 0, 0, B. Installing, 54-45-4-D-43. Do you wish to continue?"She is completed. She is ready to fight for the Halcyon Fold.
