A Morgue and A Cemetery

There's a difference between a morgue and cemetery.

Cemeteries have stones with hidden bodies,

whose friends and family miss them dearly.

They miss their face and the color of their skin,

The way they dress, and the moments they were in.

Morgues have tables with visible bodies.

Whose friends and family still think they are at

Work, on a plane, or at the movies.

Some are alone, no friends nor family,

Unidentifiable, unfortunately.

They both contain bodies, but in different ways.

People buried get funerals, remembered always.

People at morgues are tagged, put in bags,

Forever forgotten.

Did they ever exist?
