Chapter 6

"Well hunny it says you are in fact pregnant 3 months and a week" she said as she passed me the papers

I took the papers out of her hand and began reading and I was indeed pregnant I Kayden Cortez was 3 months pregnant by a man I barely knew

"Are you okay hun" she asked as she rubbed my back

"Yeah I'm fine just processing this whole I'm pregnant thing" I told her while standing up getting ready to leave

"Make an appointment with you OBGYN so she can go further into detail with you and give you an ultrasound alright Kayden"

"Will do thank you so much doc" I said giving her a slight smile before exiting the room and making my way out the building to my car

As soon as I got in I put my head on the steering wheel and started crying I felt stupid like how can I be so stupid to get drunk enough that I sleep with a guy and end up pregnant.

I don't even remember if he even put on a condom and I wasn't on the pill I mean I was planning on staying a virgin for a long ass time but guess that didn't happen

Finally after 10 minutes I was good enough to drive. The first place I went to was my mothers house. My mom decided to get out of Chicago and move into the burbs. She was tired of Englewood.

I pulled up to her house about 45 minutes later. I seen my brothers were here to guess this is the perfect time to break the news. Although I know my mom is going to be mad asl because I haven't visited her in almost a month and when I decide to is when I'm telling her that her baby girl is pregnant from a one night stand. I'm not going to tell her that he left me in a hotel room with a note though that's just something I'll keep to myself.

I turned my car off throwing the keys into my purse before getting out the car and heading to the door I knocked fives times before my oldest brother Jordan opened the door

"Well look who it is if it isn't my little sister who forgot all about a nigga" he said while pulling me to an embrace

Returning the embrace "Jay you know I can never forget about you and Zay y'all the most important niggas in my life" I told him while he let me go and soon led me to the living room where my mom and my other older brother Zayden were seated watching a movie

"Damn do all the fun shit once I leave huh" I say as I sit next to Zay huggin him in the process

"Little girl if you do not watch your mouth in my damn house" my mom said while mugging me

"Sorry mama but I have something to tell you guys"

I was really nervous because these people are my world and I'll lose myself if I don't have them by my side

"What is it Kay"

"Okay but you guys have to promise and I mean promise on my grand daddy grave that y'all won't be mad at me I already beat myself up about it so I can't have y'all mad at me to" I tell them while two tears escaped my eyes

My mother got up from her seat and came to sit next to me pulling me into a hug and rubbing my back

"Come on Kay I promise what is it honey"

"Mom I'm pregnant and it was a one night stand "I let it out before finally breaking down crying

"Kayden I'm disappointed in you baby but not mad you have a good head on your shoulders so I know you'll be a good mom baby girl don't cry" she told me while wiping my tears away "Look on the bright side baby I'm going to be a grandma" she had the biggest smile on her face that I couldn't help but smile back at her this women is my rock.

"We gonna be uncles Jay" Zayden said while getting up and started milly rocking and shit

These people are my backbone I don't know what I'll be with out them.

After an hour I decided to head home and finish up my school work.

I was now home so I decided to shower real quick and get to work. I was getting my desk set up when a piece of paper fell out on top of my notebook. Picked up paper and saw that it was the note he had left I seen that he wrote his number down at the bottom so I decided to text him and let him know that he was going to be a father.

I went over to my bed to get my phone. I unlocked it typing in this number and calling it.

I called three times but it went straight to voice mail so I just texted him instead so that he can call and we discuss this more. I just hope he doesn't think i want his money because that's the last thing I want from him I can handle us financially I just want my baby to have his/hers father.

I sent the text and within 30 seconds i got a reply but it wasn't the reply I was hoping for

Hey It's Kayden from the club a couple months ago. I just wanted to let you know that I went to the doctor today and I found out that I'm 3 months pregnant and you're the father. Call me so we can discuss this more and see what we're going to do
