As the moon kisses my wounds
The darkness heals me
The moon is the only light
In this dark world
The darkness controls me
Giving me life and hiding death
The darkness isn't always bad
It can be your best friend
It hides the light that blinds you
And cools you down
The darkness can be a friend
Now the moon rules the darkness
Giving you just the right amount of light
It is always there in the background
Waiting for its time to shine once again
Night or day the moon is always there
Even when it appears to be missing
It is still there; Even the moon
Has to let the darkness take over
Then it comes back fighting to be seen
So should you
Fight to be seen as the amazing human being you are
Show them how broken you are
They will start to wonder why you even try
Tell them to follow the moon
Fight past the darkness to shine your brightest
