❝ Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage❞

i walk up through the front garden and enter the little beach house. it is quite shack-like but i love it.

it's my little slice of heaven.

i walk into the kitchen and see mum standing there, peeling potatoes for dinner.

"there's mail for you" she says.

"me" i reply.

"you" she says again.

i take it up to my room, and begin to read it.

it's really quite beautiful.

who would think so highly of me to write something like that? who could love me, a girl who is only half here at the best of times?

what did i ever do to deserve someone like this?

i ring the only person i know that could possibly help me in this situation.

"laina. i need your help"

"what's wrong, eve?"

"have you ever had someone send you a letter?"

"what type of letter?"

"a love letter"

"have you got a secret admirer? oooh you lucky thing!"

"no, lains i haven't. its mum. so have you? how can you tell if they're the real deal?"

"well, first off they'll compliment you. then they'll say somehting about their love for you. and then i reckon they might compliment you again or say something more about their love for you, then leave. now, eve i gotta go. you have to tell me everyhting, ok?"

"ok, laina"

"see ya eve"

"bye"

well.

i think i have an admirer.

the question, though is this:

who is he?
