Yo, yo, yo, my beautiful readers. How are you all?
I'm currently super pissed that AT&T backordered my iPhone 7 until late October, but whatever. Guess they don't care that my current phone is a piece of shit and pretty much useless. The struggles of getting a phone when it's brand new :/
Anyway, hope you guys like this one! I'm glad this story is getting some attention. Thanks for reading <3

Chapter 3
Auten's was its usual crowded self—sobers walking in and drunks flooding out, a swift nightly routine.
I stood patiently waiting, swaying back and forth smoothly. I sure hoped I looked alright; maybe this whole thing was a mistake, meeting him. He was Lain's friend, and there were rules, according to Lain's interpretation of the "Bro-Code."
I almost left, avoiding how badly I wanted to be alone with Andrew—without my idiotic brother ruining it—but then I saw him. He was leaning against his Chrysler, occasionally checking his watch and taking many deep breaths. I couldn't express in words how charming he looked with his collared plaid top and neat khaki bottoms, so carefree and independent.
My feet glided forward and I nearly ran into a woman, but all of my focus, my undivided attention, was directed toward him, standing so gorgeously, waiting for me and only me.
He looked up as I neared him, a smile wiping across his face. "Wow, you really dressed up. I was just thinking casual, but that looks okay."
I stood there, once again thinking about leaving. His attitude was not making me change my mind any faster.
"I'm joking," he said, moving closer. "Are you okay, Ronnie? Normally you're used to sarcasm, since Lain in your brother."
Okay, maybe this isn't so bad.
I didn't have to force the smile; it appeared all on its own. "Let's not talk about Lain at all tonight."
"Agreed." He grabbed my hand and led me to the other side of his Chrysler. He opened the door for me. I bowed my head in embarrassment and finally sat in his car.
Andrew climbed in next to me, grinning like a total idiot. "What are you smirking about?"
He shrugged. "You got dressed up for me."
I readjust uncomfortably, attempting to hide my glowing face. "I love dresses, okay? They make me feel so...free."
He chuckled. I could see in his eyes that he had an idea of some kind. I was scared to find out what. He revved his engine, never taking his eyes off of me.
"Is that supposed to impress me?" I laughed.
"Depends. Are you impressed?"
Guys loved their toys, and I thought it would make him happy if I said it had. I didn't want to admit it, but revving the engine made him about ten times sexier.
"Kind of," I said.
"Then yes."
We kept a steady conversation the entire ride to...to...
"Andrew, where are we going?"
"Dinner," he replied. "Five star diner, too, so you better be hungry."
