Hope is Slowly Fading

Danny's POV

'It's been three months... three fucking months!! Am I ever going to see Y/N and Elizabeth again? Yes... in time child, in time. Who are you...? I'm YOU.'

Vlad's POV

"Daniel! Please stop! I don't want to have to restrain you again!" Vlad exclaimed, hurriedly grasping at Danny's arms and pulling the pillow off of his face.

"Danny PLEASE!" Vlad yelled, stopping the crazed Danny from smothering himself with his own pillow.

"Bu-but YOU'RE NOT ME!!" Danny screamed, trying once more to suffocate himself. Finally Vlad succeeded in throwing all the pillows and blankets from the bed before pinning Danny's arms behind him. Just then Danny started sobbing.

"N-no! Please just STOP! STOP IT! I don't want to do that!" Danny's head snapped towards Vlad, "Please Vlad! You HAVE to help me! PLEASE! HELP ME!" 

"I don't know what to do anymore Daniel!" Vlad yelled, as he began to tear up as well. Suddenly Danny's body went limp as he passed out for the second time since he has woken. Vlad released his friend's arms, gently laying him down again before bringing his hands to his tired face.

"I'm sorry Danny... I just don't know what to do." Vlad cried into his hand.

Y/N's POV   

"I got another phone call from Vlad today..." Olivia whispered to Y/N, who was currently staring blankly out of the window awaiting for the ever present bad news brought by Vlad's phone calls.

"Danny.. h-he's not doing too well Y/N. I-..." Olivia trailed off, as Y/N's mind begged for more even though she stayed silent. Y/N only nodded, wanting to cry but her tears have all but dried up by now. Y/N listened as Olivia turned to leave but before she could Y/N spoke up.

"Thank you. Truly Liv, you.. you and Vlad have helped Danny and I out a lot-" Y/N broke off, rapidly sucking in a deep breath, biting her lip, unable to say more. Y/N didn't turn around but she could sense that Olivia had bowed her head in a silent "you're welcome" and left the room.

"I'm sorry Ellie." Y/N spoke, glancing at her small child who could now sit up on her own, "Danny would be so proud to see you now.. sitting up all on your own. My little Elizabeth." The little girl smiled up at her sad mother, and that's when Y/N lost it. Quickly embracing her child, Y/N hugged Ellie as close as she could to her.

"I love you Ellie! Please never forget that.. your father loves you too! We both love you so much!" Y/N smiled through her now freely flowing tears. Y/N mindlessly giggled.

"I guess not all my tears were dried up!" Ellie giggled at her silly mom as Y/N placed kisses all over her beautiful daughter's face.

"But you know what..?" Y/N asked the child, who only tilted her head slightly at her words.

"Everything is going to be okay! I can feel it! Things are going to get better soon! I promise~"
