His P.O.V
The center of his world, the Sun to his Universe is gone. Never in a million years had he imagine she'd be be gone so soon. He'd always thought they'd live a full life. A life abound with love, laughter, peace and family. But instead all he has is sorrow and sadness.
Flashback:
"You will get away with this. Because you've change your name and address you might not even live longer." Y/N was reading maybe the ninth letter she had gotten within these past three days. I was even more worried because none of them had names. Although I had a slight idea.
She had someone in her life earlier than I came. Near her teenage years. She didn't tell me much about it or the person but to my understanding their relationship ended harsh. Because of that she moved away and eventually met me.
Then, starting about a week ago letters began appearing in our mailbox. Y/N always disregarded them, I didn't though. We went through and read all seventeen of them. All the messages talked of revenge and death. It seemed that someone was plotting against my girlfriend.
I've been losing so much sleep and my appetite has become smaller than usual ever since this has started. "We need to go to the police. Someone is after you and I can't risk losing you." She sighed and ripped the last letter and threw it in the pile of the others before it. "It's okay, I don't think it's that serious."
"You don't think it's SERIOUS! Someone is sending death threats and you're sitting here all calm saying there's nothing to worry about." My tone had risen and anger boiled within me. "If it continues into next week, I promise we'll go to the police. But for now let's just eat and relax." She replied calmly.
I shrugged but freaked out mentally. That night, I snuck out and went to the police station to report this problem. The kind officers said they'd file the case and look into it. I thanked them and hurried home before Y/N woke up. I slept somewhat better knowing the police was informed.
As I had thought, the letters continued into next week. The only thing about it was that they were coming faster. Three letters a day. The letter lessened as the days passed. Eventually they dumbed down to sentences. The last one we got had instructions: Use the first letter of all letters to reveal the final message.
Y/N wasn't home at this time. I took it upon myself to complete the task. After writing them down I decoded the final message. Reading it, I immediately hopped up and went to the police station. It read: Guess what, I'm here. Even the officers shivered at the message as well as the prior letters. "Where is your girlfriend?"
The tallest one asked. "At a job interview." She was interviewing for a job at a law firm. She had just got her license to practice law. "Come back when she comes home and we can arrange some kind of protection until this is figured out." I agreed and left to go home. Once I got home, I called Y/N's pone about eight times.
The first few times, it rang. The last few, it went straight the voicemail. I found that rather suspicious but gave her the benefit of the doubt. Calming myself, I fixed a small snack then took a nap.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As it turns out my nap had been longer than intended. However Y/N was not home yet. I checked my phone for any calls or messages. I had a missed call, but not from her. It was from an unknown number. After listening to a new voicemail I identified the person as the detective at the police station.
When I called him back, he just told me to come to an address. By the tone of his voice I could tell something want right. Unfortunately I was right. When I pulled up to the scene, police cars were on the scene as well as an ambulance. Even people crowded the streets, some in tears. "Park Jimin?" The detective met up with me.
"Yes sir does this have anything to do with Y/N? Have you heard anything from her?" He sighed and walked me over to the ambulance. He whispered a couple of words to the paramedic. The back of the ambulance opened and I saw a body lying on the stretcher. I looked at the detective and his eyes said it all.
"I'm sorry Jimin. I don't want to tell you this but-" I cut him off wiping away a small tear that was forming in my right eye. "I knew I should've gotten her protection, it's my fault." He patted my back. I asked them to uncover her so I could see her one last time. Her skin lost all its color.
She looked as dead and still as I imagined. Salty tears flooded my eyes and wouldn't stop. "Someone left this note next to her. I think you should see this." Another officer handed me a folded slip of paper. As much as I didn't want to open it, I did. The paper read:
"Gotcha Bitch! R.I.P"
