I was drawing this then thought, "I should take  picture of this!"

I was drawing this then thought, "I should take  picture of this!"

So I did, as you can see its blurry and I sketched out a few details, like how Varian's ponytail is behind him, showing he is lurching forward.

For Anduin's left hand I used my own hand to model, which is why it is insanely less marked with lines and sketch marks.

Please note that I have not drawn Varian's lens or pupils, since I plan to have them red or glowing. Or glowing red.

I have not drawn Anduin's right arm because that was one of the parts that was harder for me. I couldn't decide if he should be pushing his father off, covering his heart, dropping something, and so on.

Okay, now there's less lines and more shape

Okay, now there's less lines and more shape. Now I am doing the body proportions and angles more.

Varian's torso is way too skinny for his body, and I didn't notice until I took the photo.

Also, Varian's arms look way too weird with his body, since they are thicker then they should be.

His shoulder guards were also one of the harder things to draw. Took me a few images and Youtube to find a right sized shoulder guard for him.

There are still many errors:

1. Varian is lurching forward, yet his bangs aren't in movement.

2. I must have thought Varian had three elbows, because it is physically impossible to hold such a sword at such an angle.

3. Also, I had no idea how to draw their legs, since I made them pose in such a way.

At least I got Anduin's face down great.

HELPFUL TIP: If you want to double check with your drawing, look at it through a camera. It helps shows what is proportioned and what is not.

Great! Much better! But Varian's hair and sword is bothering me

Great! Much better! But Varian's hair and sword is bothering me. Although I am very happy with this, there are still many things I need to fix.

1. Varian's sword is way too thin, but if I erase it, the dark lines will show.

2. Varian still has three elbows, but I guess I will have to deal with it.

3. Anduin is using a tiny dagger on his father, which had to be drawn small because I didn't want to cover Varian's armor.

4. Also, I did not draw a knife hilt on Anduin although he pulled the knife from his belt.

5. Varian's torso is still too thin, which is bothering me because I can't fix it.

6. That chocolate stain on Anduin's cloth thingy is driving me nuts. But it was a delicious muffin, so I can't be too upset.

6. Anduin's eyes are in two directions. Or he has lazy eye. Choose your pick.

-However-

1. I got Anduin's face readable.

2. I got their arms angled right, and there is movement by the clothing.

3. I did a pretty good job on Varian's armor, which is one of the thing I dread to draw since it so detailed and just a pain in the butt to draw anyway.

Voilá! Now I have a few options

Voilá! Now I have a few options.

Shade it?

Ink it?

Color it?

I won't ink it, the risk of my nib blotting out more ink than I need is too great.

Maybe I'll shade it?

The best option for me right now is tape it to a window and trace it, then do whatever to the traced one.

This took me two days draw. 9/22-23/16
