Life

When you are little, it's the little things that count.

The little kitten that you loved before it died in a storm and you wondered how life could be so cruel.
The funny feeling of jumping from the tree-house because life was exciting.
The fear of your parents telling you they are going to live in different houses and you thought if this happened, you may die.
The feeling of scraping your knees on the concrete because you ran too quickly

as if life wasn't fast enough for you.

When you are big, it's the big things that count.

Mortgages because in life you need a house.
Wanting a baby because that's the right thing to do.
Money because you need money to live.

Then we sit around and tell our children that they don't understand life just yet.

I guess that's life.
