My Schism

Annalyn POV ;

We walk behind Elliot in the dim hallways to get to Justin. I don't remember seeing the rooms we've passed by before. We finally stop infront of a huge room and Elliot knocks on the door twice. Richard and Leopard open the door.Seeing their beastly faces ignites all the anger I've been trying to suppress. I want them both dead. We walk inside the huge door and we are met with four chairs and a mirror.

"So would anyone like to volunteer?"  Richard asks

"I would,but I know you don't want me" I spit

"Very well then" Leopard speaks

Two men walk in carrying Justin's limp body behind them.They put him on one of the chairs and move the chair across the room.

"Welcome to Alcatraz"  Richard says "You are here, because we want you to be here.You are to follow the rules we give you and we might let you live" he smiles "My name is Richard and I own Justin and Annalyn. Elliot over there"  he points at Elliot " owns Niall and Alice.I know you have alot of questions, but I don't really care. Now here are the rules: do as you're told,period " he chuckles

Is he mentally stable?

"Today you're going to learn the first lesson"  he says enthusiastically

He walks towards Justin and one of the men who carried Justin in earlier hand him a gun

"Now, would anyone like to take Justin's place? "  Leopard asks

"I would"  Niall says, fear evident in his tone

I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding.

Justin will be safe.

"Wrong answer"  Richard says and shoots Niall's leg

What?!

Niall cries out in pain and falls to the ground

But that doesn't make anysense.

Niall was the only one who wouldnt volunteer, unless, unless Alice was lying.

Richard holds the gun to Justin's head and looks at me and Alice with a big smile on his face

"Say goodbye"  he laughs

I close my eyes. I am going to be alone again.

"I volunteer" Alice whispers

"What was that?" Leopard laughs

I slowly open my eyes and look at Alice. Her tears stained cheeks are red and her eyes are puffy.

"Come closer" Elliot says slowly

Alice walks towards Elliot and stands infront of him.

"Give me the gun" he says to no one in particular

Richard hands Elliot the gun and we all wait

"Why do you want to volunteer?"  Elliot asks

"Because everyone's better off without me" Alice whispers

"Wrong answer"  Elliot says, but he doesn't shoot her

"Why did you volunteer?" he asks sternly

"I don't know"  she sobs

"Think! " he yells

"I don't know"  she yells back

"Yes you do" Elliot says

Alice stares at her reflection in the mirror and sighs

"I-i think dad needs Justin more than he needs me." she whispers

"rephrase that" Elliot says

"I did it because dad needs Justin more than he needs me?" 

"Try again"

"I did it because-" she sighs " I did it for dad "

"Good" Elliot smiles and hands Richard the gun

"You may all leave now" Richard says

What just happened? 

I don't understand

"Im not going to die?"  Alice asks

"No" Elliot says simply as he walks towards the door

I look at Justin. He looks so tired. Did they sedate him?

I don't understand.

Everything here is very confusing

Nothing makes sense

Justin looks so peaceful sleeping in my bed. His hair is so soft between my fingers. His skin is delicate under my touch.

Niall has been Silent ever since we got back here and Alice has been crying. I want to comfort her,but I don't know what to do and I am not leaving Justin. Ever again.

I hear Justin groan and my heart flutters.Literally .

"Justin?"I whisper

He groans again

"Can you hear me?" I whisper

He slowly opens his eyes and smiles

"Hey" He says, his voice husky

I feel happiness take over my being as I stare at him

"Hey" I smile "How are you feeling?"

"groggy"He closes his eyes

"Jay,would you like some water?" I ask

"Say that again" he smiles

"Would you  like somewater ?"

"No not that.What did you just call me?"

Realization hits me and I feel mortified

"Jay" I whispered

he smiles a genuine smile and it makes me feel happy

I hand him my water after he sits and lays his head on the wall the bed is attached to

"You're giving me your water now?" he mocks me "I thought it's illogical to give up  your precious water for other people" he chuckles

"Shut up" I smile and sit besides him

I give Justin a hug whilst he drinks and he seems surprised

I feel tears burn my eyes  .I bury my head in his chest and let the tears flow .

A sob escapes my lips and I want nothing more but to disappear right now.

I dont understand why I am crying

I feel Justin's strong arm wrap around my body and I instantly feel safe

"It's okay" He whispers as he rubs my arm soothingly

"I thought" I sob" I thought you were going to die"

His grip tightens on my body and I feel safe.I dont ever want him to let go.

"Im here babygirl" he says

I love the nickname

"I'll always be here" he kisses my hair

no one has ever kissed me before

I cry and cry for what seems like forever

"It's okay to cry " he says

I cry until I fall into a restless slumber
