guess who.

"don't threaten me with a good time." louis laughs jokingly, nudging ian's shoulder lightly, although ian doesn't hear the playful sound in his voice.

"maybe sometime when you're free, we can go catch a movie," and okay, that threw louis off guard.

"a movie," louis glances around the store, looking to see if he was talking to anyone else, "with me...?" he confirms, pointing a finger at his chest.

"yeah, you seem surprised," ian smiles and fuck, his smile just brought him in more. it was one of those smiles that you just couldn't say no to.

"well, that's because i- um. no, no. that sounds good, really good actually. great. fun even. super fun."

louis only stops talking when he notices a lady walking by who had been eavesdropping on the conversation let out a, what she might think is quiet, laugh.

louis blushed and handed over his phone, watching with a smile as ian put his number in it.

"text me, or call. wouldn't mind hearing that voice of yours again soon."

let's just say, louis has a permanent smile on his face for a whole week.

-

it's not like louis wanted to be in an abusive relationship. the thought of him and ian is engraved into his brain. it'll always be there. louis attached himself to ian without knowing. ian and louis. louis and ian. it didn't sound right, of course not. ian was there for him. he always was, but then suddenly, he wasn't.

he started leaving while louis was sleeping, making phone calls that louis couldn't hear, drinking more than normal, anything to put him on edge. then came the 'not so subtle' insults. ian would give him a hint that he needed to change something about himself.

"why do you style your hair like that? it makes you look like a bum."

"are you sure you wanna wear that out the house? makes you look like you gained some pounds. maybe you did, you know."

"we're definitely not getting a pet, it's hard enough attempting to live with you."

it was just the little things that made him upset, but then, it was the big things ian did that made him happy.

he remembers once when it was really bad, he came so close to hitting louis. he broke almost everything. in the morning, louis got breakfast in bed (and possibly more), along with a pair of concert tickets to one of his favorite bands. it was the like the worst he fucked up, the better the apology.

louis was so stuck and so in love that he looked over every flaw of ian. he was perfect. he was supposed to be with him.

that's why when ian wrapped his arms around louis's body, he didn't pull away. he accepted the hug. he needed comfort. he needed someone. he depended on him. ian never got tired of him. who else would he go to if he left? niall, sure, but soon enough he would get tired of taking care of louis all the time.

stuck.

he was stuck and he didn't know how to escape.

"uno!" zayn called, earning a huff from justin.

"oh, whatever, don't be a sore loser." liam laughs, leaning over and giving zayn a kiss, while also taking a peak at his one card.

justin pretends to gag, putting two fingers in his mouth.

"kinky." zayn winks, smiling at the two of them.

liam places down a blue card, since zayn changed it. as zayn begins talking, liam mouths '8 blue' to justin, smiling as zayn doesn't take notice.

justin changes the color to green, getting a glare from zayn and a small chuckle from liam.

"what can I say except..uno!" he holds up his card, and they play for a while  until finally justin wins, and zayn's calling him out for cheating. they're interrupted as liam's phone goes off and he checks the screen, harry's name flashing on the screen.

"be right back." he lets the two know, kissing zayn's cheek and ruffling justin's hair with him calling out "I'm not a dog!"

"hello?"

"liam, I don't know what to do. louis makes me so happy, but so mad at the same time, and he acts like he wants me one second, but the next he's rambling about needed to be with ian."

"okay, no hi, I'm good with that."

"liam, i'm serious. give me some advice."

"okay, just have him really think it through. you can't force him to be with you, but you still want to get him out of that relationship. maybe even have niall talk to him."

"you're right, but i like him, li. i don't want to wait."

-

"c'mon lou, let's go home, he's no good for you." ian whispers, and louis snaps.

"no." he sniffles, wiping his eyes, pushing himself off of ian. "he is, you're not. at least I know the difference between a healthy relationship and an abusive one."

ian scoffs, as if he was offended, "abusive? you're kidding, right? i'm not abusive, not even close to it. i'm helping you. this is a good relationship and you're not going to get any better than me. especially not with him."

"you forced me into having sex with you last night." and okay, hearing it out loud, make him sick.

"fucking christ, louis. grow up. are you going to whine about everything i do? if you don't like it, go ahead! leave! you're not going to find someone else, because no one else wants you. got it?" by now the two are face to face, their expression the same, except for tears on the other's face.

"i need to think." louis says softly, stepping backwards, only to have ian follow, stepping closer and pushing his shoulders roughly.  louis looses his balance and tries to catch himself with his hand. he lands on it the wrong way, and then, all everyone near him hears only the sound of a shriek.
