Kindness

A passing smile,
A look of love,
A warm embrace,
A prayer sent above,
A helping hand,
And some encouraging words,
These set free all the caged birds.

A forgiving heart,
A listening ear,
A gentle touch,
A loved one near,
A genuine laugh,
And a sweet surprise,
These give hope that the sun will rise.

A thoughtful gift,
A planted tree,
A granted wish,
A meal for free,
A bite for an animal,
And money given to the needy,
These show that not everyone is greedy.

A sincere compliment,
A generous tip,
A needed donation,
A broken thing fixed,
A door held open,
And a grateful note,
These are needed to build a strong boat.

A positive comment,
A polite please,
A simple thank you,
A great new memory,
A nice unexpected call,
And some good advice,
These give way to a smoother life.

What goes around comes around,
Always remember that,
So the more love you give,
The more you receive back.

No act of kindness,
Will ever be wasted,
For God makes sure,
That your fruit gets tasted.

So make kindness a habit,
For you will never regret,
Being kind to others,
As well as to yourself.

----------

I'm back again with another poem.

Which is really late since it's not 2016 anymore!

Oopsies. My bad.

This poem is a reminder to everyone that kindness is something we all need to keep this world going round smoothly, as it has unfortunately gone quite down in our list of priorities. I know that there are people out there who do everything they can with kindness, and I hope you do too. But I feel like we all need some important reminders in our lives.

All in all, we should make kindness a habit (see what I did there?) since it's not only going to benefit someone else, it's also going to help us as well.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read my poem. I hope you enjoyed it!

Sincerely,
