The lies that voyaged the curve of his lips
Took the same trip out of hers

And the same hostility
that laced her every limb
  was already in his veins, taking a swim.

They were one,
She and him,
And you can ask the stars,
For they're the only ones
that've witnessed,
that have seen

what happens
when two pieces
of the same soul
convene.
