They texted each other as it happened.
Juilliard said no to Lynn.
Brown said no to Skylar.
And finally John's Hopkins even said no to Lupita.
"What happened?!"
"We have the right to know."
"We each are in the top ten of our class what in the hell happened?!"
"We should find out," Skylar finally muttered in shock.
"What," Lynn asked confused.
"We. Should. Find. Out."
"What do you mean," Lupita asked concerned.
"We've been working our asses off for 12 years and we aren't going to our colleges. We have the right to know why."
"What are you planning Sky?"
"Meet me at my house and find out."
The trio met at Skylar's house, sitting at the dinning room waiting, each had a pair of sad expressions with anger in their eyes.
"So what are we going to do?"
"We're going to have to go to community college," Lynn sighed.
"Hell no not happening," Lupita roared, "I'm a doctor not an-"
"Look. I have a plan. We just have to do a little bit of sneaking around."
"Oh god," Lynn muttered, as Skylar revealed a big map.
"Were you planning this all along?"
"You always have to have a plan B."
Pointing to three red circles on the map she began her speech by saying, "these are the school's we applied for. This summer, we go, and we get some answers."
"How? They won't just let us waltz in."
"Yeah they will," she said as she circled New Jersey with a red marker
"Everything's legal in Jersey," Lupita whispered.
"We just go to Jersey, get some...convincers...and boom. We have our answers."
Lynn's eyes then went wide.
"Convincers?!"
"Guns dumbass. We're talking about guns," Lupita explained.
Lynn gave Lupita and Skylar a look before whisper screaming, "are you crazy?! We can't just threaten the administration team of high class schools with guns! We'll be tried for-"
"We'll have disguises," Skylar said coldly.
"Believe it or not Lynn," Lupita sighed, "we may just have to do this. We have no future, no plans whatsoever. So we might as well...."
"Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?!"
"Look we missed prom, homecoming, parties, OUR CHILDHOODS because of these people. We deserve to get a reason why."
And in that moment, Lynn realized.
They were right.
And Skylar smirked.
"We've been in school for 12 long ass years. It's time for them to get schooled."
