I Need the space
Nobody to infringe or debate
Just Peace
Tranquility

I'm never wracked with lonliness
Nor yearning or pain
I stretch and bathe in the sun
Burns cooled by the pelting rain

I like my solitude
It provides window for thought
I like a clear mind
For once
I've learnt in the time that I've bought

I nurse my aching body
I lick my gaping cuts
I lay my battered body to rest
I try to think of anything but
How I allowed myself to be trapped
      A ticking time bomb
               a fish in a net
