I was woken by someone banging on the front door. It sounded like they were trying to break in. I grumbled and rolled out of bed.
"Alright, I'm coming!" I shouted and then spoke under my breath. "Fucking hell." I ruffled my hair and rubbed my eyes just as I reached the door. I fiddled with the chain and took it off the latch before swinging it open.
"Dean! Good morning. You look rough. Good job I bought us 2 black coffee's with 2 sugars, and yeah, yours is caffiene free. You gonna let me in?"
"Yeah sure, uh, thanks." I said whilst taking hold of the cheap Costa cup. It was hot and was starting to burn my hand so I put it down on the table. I looked into the living room to see some dude slouched on my sofa picking at his cardboard cup.
"So, how ya been?"
"Last time I saw you was last night, not much has changed."
"Who's this?" I spun around to see Sammy running his fingers through his freakishly long hair. Perfect timing Sammy, perfect timing.
"Is this your brother?"
"Yeah. Sammy, this is Cas. Cas, this is Sammy." They stared awkwardly at eachother for a while before Sammy squinted and Cas raised his eyebrows. Thankfully, Cas broke the silence.
"I like Supernatural!"
"Huh! Me too!" Sammy jumped on the sofa and grabbed the remote and turned on a Supernatural episode. It was an episode called "The French Mistake" and I wasn't really bothered. I clapped my hands to get their attention, but they weren't looking.
"Okay, so I'm gonna get in the shower. You two can.. uh.. bond?" They still weren't paying attention, so I just grabbed a towell and left them.
I climbed out of the shower with a towell tied around my waist. I looked in the mirror before turning the cold tap on, filling my hands with water and splashing my face.
"Dean, hurry up! I need a toilet! Quick!"
"Alright Cas, calm down!" I shouted. I covered my arms and unlocked the door. Cas came bounding in, pushing me out of the way before shutting the door and locking it. Oh, okay.
I wore the usual. White t-shirt with a baggy hoody, of coarse. And black skinny jeans. My doot swung open just as I finished getting ready and Cas threw himself on my bed.
"What?" I said, slumping next to him. He ran his fingers through my hair, and a few waterd droplets fell on his sweater leaving a mark, but he didn't care. He used his right leg to kick the door and slam it shut. By now, my head was resting on his legs and my hair was going through his fingers.
"You have really nice hair, you know?" Cas muttered. I looked up at him, but he was completely concentrating on my hair. He was such a cool person, what was he doing here?
"Thanks. It's the only thing I like about myself to be honest." I said. Cas was really protective, and always treated me like he was my mother.
"Sh. You know I don't like it when you do this." He continued playing with my hair, but he was talking with meaning. Like he cared about me. Why would HE care about ME?
"Anyway, what happened to you and Sammy? Did you not have a very good bond?" I teased.
"Not as good as me and you. I guess you could say we have a pretty... special bond."
"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Only because I was up for the majority of the night thinking about him and everything he does.
"Me and you do share a more profound bond. I think we'll get along really well." He said, rubbing my hair to dry it out a bit.
"Heh, me too.. Anyway, I've been meaning to ask. Where does Castiel come from? Not you, but your name. What does it mean?" I frowed at him and he actually looked at me this time. He lifted my head up a bit and sat me up like him, so we were opposite eachother.
"It's an angel name. It means 'The Angel of Thursday'. Pretty weird, I know. But my parents chose it and I kinda like it." He chuckled a bit. "Anyway, Winchester. Where'd your name come from, aye?"
"Well, cute story. My grandparents are called Deanna and Samuel. So my parents thought it'd be hilarious to name me and my brother after them.."
"And you got the girl name?" Cas broke down and started having a laughing fit.
"Hey! Shutup!" I shouted, cupping my hands and covering my face in embarassment.
"Okay okay. I gotta go anyway. I'll see ya soon, Winchester." He did a really cute half smile thing before getting up and leaving my room.
"See ya soon, angel boy!" He high fived me and left. And that was it. I layed down and made a rippling noise with my lips.
Castiel Novak. Short hair. Blue eyes. Kinda cute. The new boy in town. The one who promised me he'd protect me from all things eveil. Who even is he?
But this 'friendship' is complicated.
He means something to me, and I don't know why?
