Jadah P.O.V I woke up to the sound of my alarm . I yawned as I looked at the time I read 12:50 Dammm I sleep long . We are out of school so I guess I don't matter. I pick up my phone knowing that Jalen texted me . I go on iMessage and click that text and it says Text convo: Jalen: Hey bestie let's hang out after I get off work at the mall I smiled as I read the text and relpyed Me: Ok bestie meet you around at 2:00 Jalen: Ard love you Me: Love you too End of convo Yeah we are really close lol. I get up off my bed and open my curtains and look outside. Our neborhood is dangerous and I don't like living here but that's all our parents can afford these days. I sigh as I walk to the bathroom . Put my my hair half up the rest down bc it was nice and straight like in my other picture the last chapter. I put on the necklace in the picture and spray perfume on me . I grab my phone and I read the time it was 1:40 . Danm time went quick . I walk out my room and see my mom in the kitchen. I walk up to her and kiss her on the cheek . Me: Hey mom Mom: Hey sweetie where are you going .. no wait let me guess with Jalen have fun Me: Ok( grabbing the keys and walking out the door ) I unlock my moms car . Yes I drive her car bc I can't afford my own . I start the car and begin to drive to the mall. At the mall Jalen P.O.V I'm at work right now almost off but this morning I had to tell big man I didn't have his money and he made me a deadline or I was crushed. Mann my life is fucked up. I work at foot locker so I was in my uniform and everything. A man walked into the store and asked for my help Me: May I help you sir Man: Yes what are those shoes He pointed at the best shoes in the store there so special there locked in a glass . But it's a lot of money for them shoes . Me: Those are the special Jordan's you could buy no one has ever brought them yet . Then Beep beep beep. Big man and his friend has a shock face and he got pinned to the wall by police officers. Walter:I don't appreciate you stealing from my store sir Big man: Wait no this man right here said I could have them Me and Walter were standing outside the store with big Man and his friend . Walter gives me a look and it was serious and at that point I was going to be fired Walter: Did you say this man could have the shoes (rasing his eyebrow) I look at big Man and he giving me this serouis look Me: Uhh uhh No I didn't Big man gets mad Big man: You lier I'm coming for you As the police took him away I took breathe I walk back into the store and get ready and settled to see my bestie . I change my clothes in the bathroom to a black shirt and some emoji pants . I walk back out and see Jadah in the store waiting for me. Jalen: Hey bestie (smiling ) Jadah: Hey (giving me a hug) We walk to the food court and got Chinese food. Jadah P.O.V We sit down at two seats and we was sitting across from eachother with our knees touching eachother. I open my box of food and so does he. Me: So wassup bestie ( putting rice in my mouth ) He looked like he was gully of something Me: Jalen are you ok (looking worried) Jalen: Yeah (smiling) Me: No your not what happend at work I know Jalen well so I knew something had to happen at work or something Jalen: I lied about letting big Man have some shoes for free today . I lied to my boss and the police officer so they took him and I was saved but I'm really scared bc big man could kill me I'm in a bad situation I should of just let him pay. Me: Jalen why would you do that you already know how big man is your in a lot of trouble but I'm here for you no matter what (smiling) Jalen: Thx Jadah Me: Always (I held his hand ) We continue eating until I told him to open a fourtine teller . Fourtine tellers in Detroit are you win 2 million dollars . Jalen: There's no point in even opening it nobody wins Me: You never know He looks at the fourtine teller and he opens it and he looks at the numbers and put it in his pocket . we finish eating our food and we decided to go to the park.
