Some treat her as though she is an adult and she knows all!

How could she be so dumb?
Doesn't she know better?

She's nothing close to an adult!

How is she supposed to know where she stands
Who is she supposed to be
What is she supposed to do
When is she going to be free?

Now there are many ways to be free for short periods of time in this life,
You could do dangerous things,
you can do what makes you happy,
you can be with special people,
you could end it all...

A young girl,
holds onto what she has in order to be free

Weed keeps her calm
Takes the anxiety away
Alcohol erases her
Takes the memories away
Cutting keeps her alive
Takes the pain away

How much longer can she take this?
How much more till it's over?
How soon will she realize she'll never be free?
Forever chained to the cell that is her brain.
