BONUS CHAPTER: PART ONE

^September 15th^
It happened so suddenly.
One minute I was peacefully reading a library book, and the next, I was staring at a clump of shredded paper before my eyes.
"Have fun paying for that." I heard him laugh.
I paled and looked up. Sure enough, it was him.
I was shocked, paralyzed, and scared.
After seeing my horrified face, he reached behind me to the nearest bookshelf, and grabbed another book, which so happened to be The Book thief.
Next, I watched in horror as another book was damaged before me.
And I just stood there, silently watching as he tore book after book.
Where was the librarian?
What was I going to do?
Why was he here?
Why was he doing this?
Many more questions swirled in my head. It was hard to concentrate. My throat itched.
Suddenly he stopped at the tenth book and curved his lips upward in a smirking position.
"You, my dear Heaven, are my next."
And he left, leaving me bewildered.
A few seconds later, it clicked.
My mouth became dry.
I was his next victim...
