Mike grabbed Eleven's shoulders and shook her lightly.
Mike: El, wake up! It was just a dream!
Eleven: Mike..
Eleven had some tears falling down her face. Nancy came downstairs to see what was going on.
Nancy: Eleven, what is going on?
Eleven: Friend..
Nancy: Wh—Who? You mean..
Nancy gulped.
Nancy: Barb?
Eleven: Yes..
Nancy burst into tears.
Nancy: She — She's okay?
Eleven: Yes. I saw her.. she needs help.
Mike: We should go save her, El.
Nancy: Hey! Not so fast. She is my friend, so I have to go.
Mike nodded.
Nancy: Let's get Jonathan too.
Mike: And the rest of the gang!
Eleven: Yes.
Mike: Just like old times, El! Exploring!
Eleven grinned, and grabbed a jacket and t-shirt with jeans. She bought new clothes at the mall last week with Nancy. She ran in the bathroom to change, then dashed back out.
Mike: Looks like we're heading back to the Upside Down guys. We found Nancy's friend, Barb. Over.
Mike was holding the WalkieTalkie.
Will: Okay! I'll get Jonathan. Over.
Dustin: Okay, dude. Over.
Lucas: Alright! Over.
The trio; Nancy, Mike, and Eleven ran outside to meet Dustin, Lucas, and Will. This time, Jonathan was with them. Jonathan gave Nancy a smile. Nancy turned a bit red and smiled back.
Mike: Follow us, guys.
Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will rode over to the goo-filled tree. Nancy and Mike followed on foot, side by side.
Eleven: Here..
Mike: Alright, El' and I go first.
Mike and Eleven crawled through.
Lucas: See you all on the other side.
Lucas saluted, then crawled through.
Dustin: I better live to eat more of my pudding.
Dustin followed on all fours.
Will: Okay, I'm going in.
Will gulped. Jonathan pat his back.
Jonathan: I'll be with you.
Will crawled, followed by Nancy and Jonathan. They were in.
Eleven: Close..
Mike: Okay, El.
Mike followed Eleven through the hidden world, only they had seen. Eleven led the way, as the squad followed.
Nancy: Barb! We're here! I'm here!
Jonathan: Barb?
Will: Come out!
Eleven: Soon there..
Eleven stepped to a dark cave in the woods.
Eleven: Here.
The squad crawled in, Eleven first. They looked around, then saw Barb, in the corner, shivering.
Nancy: B—Barb!
Barb looked at Nancy, shocked.
Barb: Nancy!?...
Nancy ran over to hug her, and Barb coughed. She adjusted her cracked glasses.
Barb: Nancy it's dangero—
Nancy: I know, that is why we're here to save you.
Barb got up slowly, leaned on Jonathan's shoulder, and Eleven led the large group to the hollow.
Eleven: Come.
They each crawled through, all safe.
Ever so quietly, unnoticed, a low growl would be heard in the distance.
