I was the only one left. The ambush on the Xiong Nu had failed. Those savages had locked me up in a little cage that can barely fit an adult dog, much less an adult human male. The bars had left ugly streaks on my skin. But haven't you heard of that the most dangerous time is when you hace reached your goal? Their goal was me, once they had captured me they became at ease, and let down their guard. They threw a party and became drunk, so I was able to steal the keys of one of those savages that happen to fall beside my cage. I grabbed those keys and a horse then left. But as a result of my injuries...I fell off the horse midway in the mountains but I couldn't continue from my serious injuries and the horse already galloping away. I struggled to remain conscious as I denied the possibility of death in such a place, where my corpse would be unfound and Imperial father, Mother, and Han Er* and not even the heavens would know what would happen to it. Would it be looted? Would forest animals pick away at my corpse until I'm bones? And would maggots live in my body? Possibly yes, and those were my thoughts as I fell unconscious and slowly but surely into that terrifying blackness. An herbal and medicinal smell had stirred me, but what made me decide not to once again give into slumber was a beautiful melodious voice that was like the crackling of stepping on fresh snow.
"Sleep more. " the soothing voice murmured, but I had to see the owner of such a voice. He was beautiful, but not the same as Imperial Mother Consort whom looked like a beautiful woman, but my savior in white was utterly beautiful. A refreshing and quiet beauty between beautiful and handsome like winter, if Mother Consort (refers to Bing Bing) was spring. It was a man in all white, slender high bridged nose, pale skin like the moon, and a slender and small face with long inky black hair and matching eyes that was as if it could see through my soul. Most people would want to get away from those eyes, the eyes that only allowed the truth, eyes that saw through lies and knew all my secrets, eyes that caused fear, eyes that isolated people, eyes that would cause someone to scream monster...But if that was what it took to make the person those eyes belonged to be mine it was worth it, as I wanted to be the one that see's through his eyes.
