AUTUMN'S POV-
I was sitting in May's room, since it was Saturday and we had nothing better to do. Carmen was gonna come but some family event came up.
I was waiting for her to come back. May had left to go ask her brother something about dinner.
"My brother's friends are over" she explained walking back into her room
"Oh cool, I guess" I shrugged
"My parents are on a trip, so it's just us. " she continued "You're spending the night, right"
"Oh, of course" I nodded
"Thank you! I didn't want to be the only girl here" she sighed and I giggled at her
"Did your parents go on another business trip or is it a vacation this time" I asked sitting up on her bed
"Business trip, they said they were coming back next week but, who knows" she sighed. A knock was heard at her door and it opened as we looked over.
"Hey, we were gonna get some pizza any request?" Her brother asked
"As long as you get a cheese we'll be fine" she explained
"Alright, do you want to come hang with us downstairs? We're just playing videos games but we were about to watch some movies" he offered and she glanced my way
"Sure, we'll be down in a sec" after she said that the door closed
Adam was her twin brother, he always had his friends over, as well as May. I would be lying if I said they weren't attractive, cause they all were, but I knew none of them would go for me.
"Come on they are probably waiting or something" she said slipping on a sweatshirt and tossing me one that I've left here
"Thanks" I smiled and we walked down her stairs
"Hey ladies" we heard Matt call to us as we sat down
"We were just about to put a movie in while we wait. You guys up for horror?" Tyler smirked. I shrugged and glanced over at Mayana who had an unsure look on her face
"Come on, it won't be that bad!" Adam laughed and she sighed nodding making the boys cheer
The food arrived shortly after we started the movie. We had decided on watching Lights Out. It was almost over when my phone started to ring making me blush.
"Sorry" I mumbled getting up and walking in the kitchen to answer it "Hello"
"Where the fuck are you?" I heard my mom slur
"I'm at a friends" I sighed
"You're so fucking stupid sometimes I swear" she yelled into the phone "you're probably out on your corner being the slut you are to make a quick buck"
"No, rea-" I started only to be cut off
"Just shut the fuck up! You pathetic, fat, worthless whore! I can't even talk to you right now." She seethed and hung up. I put my phone in my pocket looking up so the tears wouldn't roll down my face.
"Is everything alright" someone said behind me making me jump. I turned around to see Ryan looking concerned.
"Um, yea it was nothing" I shrugged putting a fake smile on my face
"Are you sure? It sounded like a lot of yelling" he walked towards me
"Yea don't worry about it, we should get back to the movie" I looked at the ground and started to walk back into the other room.
