Burn (Ashes Ashes)

I clawed and I strained

Just to have my heart and brain

Be crushed by your feet

Because you can't speak

To he who brought words to life again

I strained and I clawed

And you sat there and saw

My desperate face

A no-life disgrace

Though I gave you my all

I became an open book

You came to take a look

Slowly you ripped out my spine

Carefully, took your time

While having me caught on a hook

My words were set on fire

Like a world consumed by desire

My world took a turn

As you watched me burn

Then you returned to that lake of fire

Ashes Ashes

As my paper world was set ablaze

Ashes Ashes

I burned alive for days and days

Ashes Ashes

As my paper world came crashing down

Ashes Ashes

Cut me deeper, to paint a crimson town.
