We stood in front of
you, smiling. Then we
crouched down and
placed two flowers on
your tombstone.
"We're finally okay, Charlie..."
Rachel leaned her head
on my shoulder.
"I hope you're happy
for us..."
I held her hand.
"We'll see each other soon..."
She suddenly took in a
sharp breath, squeezing
my hand at the mention
of seeing him again.
"We're gonna have some
adventures, and we wish
you'd be here with us..."
A tear slipped out of
Rachel's eye.
"...and we'll tell you all
about it when we see you
again..."
We stood up and turned our
backs to you, walking forward into
our lives.
Taking you with us in our
hearts.
