Chapter 16 - Paint Pools, A Christmas Tree, And A Run In

Averial's P.O.V

"lets get the christmas tree out and start decorating for chirstmas"

Derek looked at me with his eyebrows raised "after not talking to me for a week this is what you have to say?"

"yeah I mean who else is strong enough to help me haul the box in hear"

Derek let out a soft chuckle he looked at me when a dream came back to me

DREAM

I wached as Derek sat on the bench next to me he looked happy he looked at  me and smiled we were sitting on a wooden bench looking at the sun setting

Derek turned to face me he looked really happy I smiled at him and he greatly returned his perfect white smile

I looked over the clift and threw the blue green water over the ochean I could just barley make out the outline of the trees at the waterss edge

I looked at derek my midnight blue eyes conecting with his forest green ones and spoke the words that could kill

"Derek I love you"

"as I love you" he said and I looked into his forest green eyes they were as if they were glowing

I schoed over closer to Derek and let my hand find his as our finger interwined my forhead pressed to his and soon our lips met I smiled under his lips when the kiss broke it was as if the world around was crashing around me

everything went black I could still feel Dereks hand interwined with my owne I cluched closer to Derek I looked up at him he pulled me into his side with a soft smile when five wolfs jumped out at us thoes wolfs from the rode trip red gray black brown white

DREAM ENDED

I looked at Derek he was looking at me with worrie

"Ave you just spaced out on me"

"yeah..." I muttred "..Just a dream came back to me" I said shaking the tougth out of me

"don't wanna talk about it?" Derek gussedd knowilying

"yeah" I muttred

I walked out the front door with Derek follwing me "Dere-"

I was cut off when I saw Josh rolling around on the grass with a blonde haired blue eyed girl Derek looked at the two of them and his eye's went wide

was he thinking the same thing I was

"Is that his..." I said "mate" we said at the same time

"I think so" I said and smiled

we continuted walking and I smiled in there genral driction I could hear my boys in the back yard shouting and hollering

"wait I need to see what there at back there" I said to derek befour we went into the gurage

I let go of Dereks hand and rna around the house to the huge back yard with an underground  pool I wached as they each blew up a mini blowup kiddie pool in the midle of fucking winter

once the pool was blew up Jake Nate Luke Tay Day and Zay started dumpin buckeets of paint into the empty kiddie pools

I felt a fimilar presence beside me I wached with wide eyes and a slack jaw when Jake jumped into his paint pool

"What the..." Derek wispred to me

me and darek wached as they all started jumping in there kiddie paint pools once they were all covred in paint the got up and walked past us and across the street to the nabours house

"no no no" I wispred "DON'T" I shouted

I wached as they walked twords our nastie nabours Mustang Jake was purple Nate was green Luke was blue Tay was orange Day was yellow and Zay was red

Derek Me Josh and his friend  stood there waching in horror as Jake climed on the roof of the car  nat got on the trunk Luke rubbed his body on the side Tay and Day were wresleing on the hoold of the car

when our thirty five year old male nabour came out side Zaylor huged him.Zaylor huged our nabor and mad him a mess of red

I tryed unscufelly to hide my laugther as did Derek Josh and blondie I grabbed Dereks hand and ran to the gurage

I hoped in my black bugatti veyron the one that I bougth so long agao I started the car once Derek was in the passenger side with the push of a button I opned the gurage door and pealed out of the gurage

I barmped at the mess of paint and people in the nabours drive was Matt poped his head out of th efront door and fell down pissin him slef laughing so muchh

Matt I havent talked to him since he kissed me I frowned momenteralery I still can't belive he kissed me things havent been right since

I toor off down the streets in my fast sleek black car I drove us to walmart Idrove into the packed parkiknf lod growing as I seen how packed it was and how few parking spots were left

I found one of the few parking spots and swong my black car so it fit perfectly between the red carmaro and the gray ford truck

I turned off the car with the flick off a key and undid my seatbelt I glanced at Derek he was looking at me

I smiled to him rembering the mess of paint I got out of my car and shut the door firmley behind me I walked around so that I could walk up the parking lot with Derek

once we were inside we went stright to thr christmas slection I wanted a atifichal tree so I wouldent have to get another one next year

"so...what color schould we get" Derek said

"I want green" how about you?"

"me too" he said with a smirk

I looked at him he was eyeing a girl that was working here I could feel the growel forming in my trougth when I looked at her she was looking at Derek

I tuned to face Derek my hands went around his neck and our lips met and his arms went around my wais

I heard someone clear there trougth I looked at the misses that was standing there with her child her little girl was gigleing

I blushed and hid myslef behind Derek we walked over to some trees there were green ones but none caugth my eye

I turned around and came face to branch with a tree that was the same color as Derks eyes

"Thats the tree" I said to Derek

Derek smiled and grabbed a box that had a pic of the exact same tree on it and we walked to the cash where a teenaged boy was working

"Heey babe can I get your number"

what an ass "Not unless you have a death wish" I smiled at him and let my face drop

"hunn the only wish I have is that you are mine"

"can you stop your conversation is like sea waves it makes me SICK" I screamed the last part at him

I heard Derek roar out in laugther as I finished my setence once the tree was paied for me and Derek walked to the end of parking lot talking about nothing

"that guy if I see him again I might just kill him"

"jellous?"

"yes very"

"did't you hear what I said to the little fncker?"

Derek stayed silent

"I said your conversation is like sea waves it makes me SICK"

Derek turned his head showing me a full wight perfect grin I was trying not to laugh at his I turned my head and frose on the spot when I spotted a guy standing next to my car he had hair red as blood like the red wolf

I walked up to my car and started to growel in the fnckers face "Get away from my car of ill tear yu limb from limb"

"wow you got yourslef a fistey one hear"

Derek took one look at him stet the tree down and walked over to him

"what.did.you.just.say" Derek growled

"I said y-" Derek grabbed the red head by the coller of his leather jacket and looked him dead in the eyes and said

"leave me and my friend alone of else im gonna have to call you little buddies to come pick your remains off my mates tires I sugest you leave" Derek was at leas a good two inches over the red head

the red head looked past Derek and stright at me "this ant over" he said and dissapred

"Ave calm down befour someone notices your eyes

I looked around andsure enough there was a couple people saring Derek picked up the tree box and put it in the trunk

as I walked around to the drivers side I noticed that there was a name on a pice of paper stuck to my window

"babe the names Cam"

I narrowed my eyes at the pice of paper and snacked it up and balled it up into a ball and threw it the wind wisked it away

I angerly got in my car and slamed the door not careing that I hit the red carmaro next to me I buckled up my seat belt and waited impashently for Dere to get in

Derek got in and shut the door a little too roughly I clenced my teeth "FUCKING ASSHOLE" I shouted

Derek slowley urned to look at me and said

"I know"

"This is the guy that has been chasing the pak and his nme is cam there was a note stuck to my window I balled it up and threw it away and he also wants to start a war" I spit out threw my clenched teeth

Derek was just as pissed as I was "well when we get home we have much to do"

"oh belive me I know"

I steped on the gass pedal and pealed out of that parking lot my dirving was freaking crazy when Im mad

I zommed passed ramndom cars on the high way I glanced next to me and there was a white caramro with black tented windows the window rolled down and there was the red head

"WHAT THE FUCK" I sreamed

I heard Derek groweling next to me I speed up swerving in and out of trafic the tension inthe air was so thick I think Im gonna choke on it I soon made it home to see the boys still playing with our nabour

I bursted out laughing and Derek soon followed I pressed the botton on my stearing wheel that opned the gurage door

I paked my car and hoped out Matt was sitting on the step that leads to the door to the house

"Matt we need to talk" I sadi stright up

"yeah" he said

"Derek could you please leave"

"yeah sure" he mumbled after he grabbed the box that the tree was in he walked up the couple steps past matt and into the house once the door was shut Matt stoood up

"Averial im sorry I schouldent haved kissed you"

"I know"

"Im sorry can things..go back to normal" Matt asked hopefuly

I looked at him

"are you sereous?"

"yeah"

"ok then things can go back to normal" I said and smiled

I walked over to Matt and huged him he was genuly happy bout time

"now if youll excuse me I need to go help Derek set up the christmas tree"

"sure thang chicken wang"
