A day late to get my update up.

Rose ~

Andy looked at me wearily but only for a split second, before he got up and motioned for me to move over.

I did, although I would have rather he be pressed tightly against me. I know what you're thinking, 'what the f'uck Rosalia.' The attraction was strong, the feelings he provoked in me even stronger and I almost didn't have a choice.

I pressed my body into the side of the couch and he watched my every movement.

"It's ok, I promise. I'm not going to touch you again...yet..." My heart jumped at that.

He seemed to sense it and he lightened the mood by chuckling softly.

"I lived in the same neighborhood as you in Cincinnati. Only a couple of streets over actually. You were only five when you moved in but you were the cutest little girl, with a head full of white blonde hair and those blue eyes..." He was looking into the distance, as if remembering how I looked back then.

He had seen me when I was so young, knew who I was.. That made me a little more nervous but I didn't say a word.

"I was 10, too old to be looking at you with nothing but adoration and that's all it was. I watched you often as you would play with your little friends. You seemed to have the greatest life. And then...your father left. I remember the day. I was walking down the street and he burst out the front door, your mother trailing after him. You were crying in the backround and I wanted to come and comfort you so badly...but I knew that would be wrong, you didn't even know me and you were so young." He ran a hand through his hair. "Years passed and you seemed to be doing ok, but still I continued to watch you. Your mom started to struggle and she had to take on multiple jobs. And with no family around her only option was to turn to a neighbor to watch you when she was away...so a 'friendly' old neighbor man volunteered his time to watch you."

I swallowed hard, suddenly feeling extremely nervous. Something was nagging me at the back of my conscious and I couldn't place what it was.

"He wasn't a good man Rose. He tried to..touch you.." He paused, staring at me contently, gauging my reaction obviously. I did flinch when he said that.

"D-did he..." My words ran off, I was unable to finish my sentence.

"No, I didn't give him the chance. I knocked on his door and when he opened it, I saw right passed him to a scared little you, tears streaming down your face. That's all it took Rose and I punched him straight in the nose. He fell backwards and hit his head on the floor knocking himself out. I took you- I got you out of there."

My breath caught in my throat. "And then..."

"I ran with you down the street and when we were far enough away for my liking we stopped. I took your hands in mine and you looked up at me, panicked. I calmed you down and promised you that I would never let him near you again, that I would never let him hurt you ever again."

His hands shot out and took mine into his. They were hot and sweaty and I felt chills take over my body. "I would never and have never let anyone hurt you Rose. Not when I was around and not when I could help you."

"H-how'd you keep him away from me?"

"I.... threatened him." His voice faltered a bit. "I took care of him. Let's leave that story for another day, yeah?"
