Hello im Neo and in this chapter we'll be talking about mating bonds.
Now, in this story(yes i know this is a fanfic but I'm not complaining if Ruby is involved) a mating bond is animal instinct for a grimm or faunus to find their significant other easier. It basically points out who you are gonna spend the rest of your life with befor you know it yourself. The bond also helps reproduction in grimm cases because a grimm can only create children with a partner they do or will truly love. Now Ruby's stone thingy acts as her mate senser until she gains the ability to sense them herself at age 22. It will also tell the number of mates she will have.
