Jessica's P.O.V
I wake up to find myself in my own warm, cozy mattress. I sat up, looking around as I rubbed my arms. I felt like my eyes were glued together and heavy. I kicked the bed sheets as I threw my legs over my bed, jumping off as I made my way toward my closet.
Oh yay, another school day. I groan, grabbing myself a black sweater with grey leggings as I slipped into my high top black classic converse. I grabbed my Jansport, black backpack as I walked pass by my body sized mirror leaning against the wall. I stopped myself to quickly put my hair into a lazy bun.
"Looks ok I guess" I said. I Leaned back as I saw a full view of myself. I observe my green eyes caressed with the color of a tint brown around the pupils. I look down upon myself, not wanting to judge myself but it seems to echo in my head. I raised my chin, giving myself a deep breath.
" I'm Not Different." I said under my breathe. I turn to exit my room. Rushing myself down the stairs.
" Good Morning, Jessica." I heard my mom's voice so I looked up, giving her a warm smile as I saw her out of bed. Looked like she was cooking something.
"Hello mom. What are you doing up from bed?" I asked. As you can read from what I have said, you're probably wondering. Why is she asking her mom that? Well you see, my mom has this injury where she has weak legs. She has gotten it from an accident about three to four years ago, and it was a major one. No one knows how it happened but I was in it. Surprisingly, we all survived. Well, my mom still has damage but she survived. We healed quickly. Which surprised me because not others healed as quick as we did. I look at my mother with a worried look.
" I told her not to get out of bed." My dad rushed in the room, sighing.
" I'll be fine, don't worry about it." She rolled her eyes as once she took a step from the kitchen, her legs would give out on her. I flinch quickly launching forward as luckily dad was there to catch her.
"Go ahead, say it." My mom groans.
"I told you so." My dad gave a small chuckle as I softly pressed my hand against my chest, almost having a heart attack. I look up to see the time and It looks like I was already almost going to be late. I widened my eyes as I grabbed an apple. Rushing myself to the door that leads outside.
" See you later mom! Bye dad!" I ran as fast as I could to the bus stop as I was on time. Jumping inside the bus I see that all seats were taken. I squeezed my way through as someone stuck out their foot, as stupid as I was, I didn't notice the foot so I tripped and fell between the seats of the bus. Everyone started to laugh as I pushed myself to move from where I was to find a seat. One of the girls that laughed at me would slam their foot against my back putting all their weight onto me. I groan in pain.
" Sorry, you're in my way." The girl giggled as she used me to get across to the other seat. My back, in sharp pain. I finally got up to sit in a seat. I sat next to a emo dude, he looks at me in fear as he turned to look away. I breathe deeply as I look around to find another girl that laughed at me next to me. Her name was Sydney.
" You thought we were done?" She said as she grabbed onto my hair. I gasp in pain as two girls behind me held me back so I wouldn't defend myself. Sydney pulled and dragged me. Until finally i had the chance to just spit at her face and try to kick them away from me.
"You crazy ass bitch, Get a LIFE!" She spat as I grit my teeth. Once the ride ended, they threw me off the bus. Literally. My body filled with cuts, bruises, and scrapes. I could barely walk. All the girls push past me as their boyfriends called me names. I looked down at the ground, wanting to switch schools. Wanting to die right at the spot. I knew, I was not needed. I held onto my backpack tight. Not even going to try to ask for help. The teachers never liked me, I was never called by my name during class. The only lucky thing I have is a friend that is by my side during school. Her name is Hailey, a gingered haired girl with blue eyes. She is very pretty. Unlike the others that cover themselves with makeup. She is beautiful. Hailey approaches me with worry spreading around her face, she looks at me head to toe.
"Oh, my Jesus, what has happened to you?" She presses her hands onto my cheeks as I gave a weak smile.
"Hell." I responded as she sighed, giving me a warm hug.
"Let's get you to the nurse." She grabbed my hand leading me to the clinic. She said no more after that. We basically went there to clean me up and to hang till school ended. School ended as we walked to the bus loop. She leaves as I was left alone again. I sigh as I look up. The people were rushing the bus driver to leave for I wouldn't come onto the bus. I sprinted to the bus as it started driving away. I gave up, panting almost in tears. Deciding to walk back into the school, wiping the tears that were about to stream with my sleeve. I'm such a baby. I walked around school grounds as I came upon the hallway filled with classrooms. I slowly walked through the hallway searching for a teacher. So far there was no one until I came across my home room. I peered my head through the door of my classroom, entering slowly as I saw a male around my age maybe a year or two older. Sitting on the edge of the desk, I see him leaning back slightly to run his fingers through his own hair. For some reason the attraction to him was strangely strong but I put that aside and went straight up to him.
" Do you have a phone?" I asked blankly as he looked at me with his light brown eyes appearing to be almost yellow as they glow, I almost cringe at the glow being so bright when the room is nearly dark. His dark brown hair full with waves as his wavy bangs reached upon his eyes making him look mysterious. His jaw so angular and sharp that I might cut myself if I just gave one touch. He looked mystical.
He stayed quite as I can see him observe me head to toe.
" Your probably new...The names Jessica." I said, taking a hand out." Jessica Olsen" I continued as he eyed me one more time.
"Henry... Henry kai." He said in a British accent as he just stared at my hand blankly.
"I'm guessing you're from a foreign country." I put my hand back down, realizing I just got rejected. So, awkward. He gives me a nod as he just stared. He lifted his hand to my cheek as if he was about to connect his lips with mine but then he was just caressing cheek. I pull myself away from him as I became intimidated by his attraction. I quickly turn to storm away from the room. Blinking in a rapid pace, I make my way out of the school building and towards the outside of the courtyard. Holding onto my backpack tightly as I looked down at the ground. Thinking about how mysterious that guy was and why was I getting bullied. So many thoughts filled my mind. I looked up to see people that were happy and laughing. Also, asking myself, why can't I be like that? I was always bullied. My parents never afford me transferring schools. I had to live like this. The countless times of me trying to defend myself... What? What is there to try for?
I look upon the street lines as I hear voices from far away. I look up to see a huge crowd of strangers, yelling at me. It seemed like I was imagining things but I wasn't. They were screaming. They were shouting at me until suddenly, I saw pure darkness.
