The twins seemed to grow more attached each day. One wouldn't think it was possible for an infant, but they seemed to miss each other when they were apart. Little Cersei would have silent tears streaking down her face and Jaime would kick and raise a fuss whenever they were parted for more than a minute. Aw, the servants would say. They're so attached. And Genevieve would just hope that they would grow out of it. After all, Lannisters can't make fools of themselves. Tywin wouldn't allow it.

A feast was held for their nameday. Ridiculous, some said, they're only babes. But nobody complained. A feast was a feast, and one didn't even complain about bad things to Lord Tywin.

Joanna visited them whenever she could, her little beauties. They were like carbon copies of one another, with their golden curls and emerald eyes. Of course the Lannisters seem made of precious substances: gold and gems. Can't have them made of straw and grass now can we? She loved those twins with all her heart and who wouldn't? She seemed to be proud, as though creating them were some great accomplishment. But then, aren't all Lannisters proud? It's a common flaw of theirs. Although it wasn't really a flaw in that case. The twins were nearly perfect.

"Jaime," Cersei said, reaching for her brother. "Jaime." Smiles lit up their small faces when they were reunited.

Jaime took a little longer. They were out in the garden when Cersei tripped on something. "Cersei," he shouted as he waddled over to help her up. Her frown turned to a smile as he took her hand in his.
