I was driving like a madman away from the house. My heartbeat got more and more rapid as my mind raced.
I couldn't believe what had just happened. Whipping out my phone, I immediately called my friend Molly.
“You've reached Molly, and if you're hearing this it probably watching Netflix and ignoring you. Feel free to leave a message I'll probably never listen to!”.....*beep*
“Molly! You've gotta call me, seriously I can't do this on my own!” I yelled into the phone, struggling to steer.
I threw my phone across the car, smashing it into the passenger side door. Brushing my hair out of my face, I cursed wildly.
What if…
What if he was right?
‘Come on little bear, I'm the only one who will want you anyway, with a face like that.’
I shook my head. I shook my head as though that would clean my mind of the horrible thought.
Punching the stereo power button, the radio began to play a heavy metal ballad that seemed to calm my nerves some.
Maybe I was overreacting.
I thought about turning the Bus around. If I did though, if I went back home, the same thing would happen. Perhaps even worse. I had no choice but to press on.
Why is it that I'm always forced to keep going?
