Whatever it had been, it made an impromptu therapy session with a total stranger turn into something so much more than either of them had ever expected. But of course, it's never that easy, is it?

A person's life was never written in the same way. Others may find similarities between one another-but that doesn't mean anyone is a complete duplicate. Some experience life with mental or physical conditions that differ from what many would call a "normal person." Which makes you wonder: if no one is perfect among all these people, how can there truly be a normal person? His gaze finds Anastasia over Jennie's shoulder, dark, certain, claiming. He didn't come for forgiveness. He didn't come to talk. He came because he's done letting her run. But Anastasia's chest tightens with a truth she's fought to forget: With all that has happened in the past, she's not sure she can ever let him in again.
