CHAPTER TWO:

| ashton’s pov |

I sat on the wooden bench in the train station, humming a tune to myself. My hands were tapping a beat on my lap as I passed time.

The old, worn-out clock told me it was just five minutes before her arrival. Smiling to myself, I thought of all the things we could do when she arrives.

I could take her ice skating, wouldn’t that would be great thing to do during winter? Or maybe we could just stay by the fireplace and talk all day long? She could tell me all about university, and well… I could tell her what happened here, while she was gone.

Though, I wasn’t sure if she wanted to hear all of it.

Rubbing my palms together to keep myself warm, I looked at the train coming. That must be Charlotte.

I stood up, getting ready to finally give her a big embrace. I could tell her how much I’ve missed her, how happy I was that she was here.

A few people got out, with their bags, but there was still no sign of Charlotte.

“Maybe she sat at the far end again,” I told myself, laughing at the possibility.

I waited and waited.

But Charlotte never came.
