"YOUR RESISTANCE IS FUTILE," the Dynamo said. With one quick motion of its arm, it smacked Josh out of the sky and he went flying into a building. "HA. HA. YOU ARE LUCKY THAT YOUR LITTLE HUMAN FRIEND IS NOT HERE. A BLOW LIKE THAT WOULD INSTANTLY KILL HIM."

"That thing has a mind of its own?" Katie wondered out loud, raising both eyebrows.

The Dynamo suddenly underwent a voice change, and it's eyes went purple. "Oh I have much more than just a mind of my own," it said, in a smooth, but evil, male voice.

Then Katie realized that the Dynamo was now being controlled. The voice and eye color change was all she needed to piece it together. "Hey... who are you, anyway?" Katie shot a glare at the Dynamo.

"You'll find out when the time comes," it said back, then gave a menacing laugh before the Dynamo's eyes went back to how they were before.

"What the fffffff," Katie slurred on that last word to stop herself from cursing. Before she could have a moment to process what had just happened, she saw the robot throw a fist in her direction, so she flew upwards and missed the impact by a mere inch.

We can't do this... we can't win, Katie thought, then corrected herself. I can't win. Not on my own!

She had no other choice but to retreat. She quickly turned around and flew down to where Josh lay on the sidewalk. He was still conscious and trying to get to his feet, but was too weak from the beating he received from the Dynamo.

"Katie..." he said when he saw her approaching managed a weak smile.

She was deeply saddened at the sight of her brother. He always seemed so confident... so strong. But here he was, lying on the concrete and looking so helpless.

"Please, save your strength," Katie said and helped him up. "I need you awake so we can get to where you set the house."

He nodded in reply and let Katie wrap her arms around his waist. They both felt the warmth of their bodies against each other; the wholeness of being together. How it was meant to be.

Soon enough, Katie was flying in the air over the city, listening to Josh's directions and leaving the Dynamo alone in its raging rampage upon Townsville. Some minutes later, they passed the city limits and were almost at the forest. Josh felt Katie's chest heave uneasily heard the ever-so-slight sound of crying. Normally, he would've tried to console her but this time, he was feeling just as hopeless as she. To his own surprise, he was soon crying silently with the wind carrying his tears away.

"Well, there's the clearing," Josh said as they soared near the same clearing he set up the house in. "Hold on, something's wrong..."

"What?" Katie raised an eyebrow.

"That's where I put the house... Why isn't it there anymore?"

Katie started to giggle, and even she herself didn't expect to be laughing after all she and Josh had been through today. "I forgot to tell you-the house can blend in with its surroundings! Pretty handy so we would be hard to find in case anyone's looking for us."

Then as quickly and suddenly as her cheerful mood came, it vanished leaving her drained. It was as if being happy took way too much effort.

They flew downwards to the seemingly invisible house in silence. A few moments later the two landed on the ground. As soon as Katie let go of her brother, he started to sway and struggled to stay on his feet.
