Mia POV
I have been feeling lost lately I don't know why. School started being hard, the finals are coming up and the stress with it. I don't know if I'm maha or Mia. Honestly why didn't I stay maha why did I changed everything??
I picked at my food at the diner my mom works at. I was so lost in my thoughts that I noticed Justin wasn't with me anymore. I looked up and Justin was on the stage "this is a song dedicated to my girlfriend who is also my best friend, she is going though some rough times" he said smiling at me oh how I fall for that smile everytime
After he was done singing he came over to me and gave a hug "I'm always here for you ok keep you chin up" I raised my chin a little and kissed my head "I lo--" Justin got cut off by a phone call. I could tell the other voice was Grayson and he sounded scared.
Justin looked at me with worried eyes "ava and ethan are in the hospital" he said up my eyes widen, he grabbed my arm and rushed to the kitchen "Melissa ava is in the hospital" he yelled across the kitchen, my mom dropped her knife and took off her apron "Jackie cover for me let's go" she said opening the back door.
I was breathing very heavily, my mom was shaking, and Justin was going over the speed limit. I can't loose ava or ethan both of them mean the world to me. Justin held my hand gave it a little squeeze assuring everything will be ok.
We all run full speed to their rooms "WHERE IS SHE" my mom yelled "they are in the emergency room right now" Grayson answered "w-what h-h-happened" I asked at the verge of tears "the detectives said that their car engine was shot lucky ethan noticed and got out of the car with ava but the car blew up before they could get far enough" he said
We waited in the waiting room for any news. I noticed a middle age woman walking towards us "hello I'm detective Benson" she said showing us her badge (only law&order fans will know) "I'm have some information about the accident" she said "well tell us" Lisa almost shouted Sean held her back a little "the bullet had some marks so that means it was forced into the gun"
"get to your point please" my mom interrupt "mom that's rude" I whispered "I'm sorry but ava and ethan are the hospital I don't care if I'm rude" she whispered back "please continue" Justin said
"so we are looking for a gun with the end chipped off a little. The bullet and a 'F' on it so the gun must have a 'F' on it" she said "why do you think that?" Grayson asked "most gun owners mark their bullet and gun with their first name letter" she said
Ava POV
"Why are we going to target?" I asked ethan "because I need some stuff" he said keeping his eyes on the road "what stuff" I asked "I'm redecorating my room and I sort of want it tumblr and you are the most Tumblr person I know" he said looking at me
"Ethan did you hear that gun shot" I asked worriedly "the engine is smoking the bullet hit the engine AVA GET OUT OF THE CAR" he yelled I got out of the car, ethan grabbed my hand and we both ran.
We heard an explosion, ethan put himself on me. We were both covered in blood "why did you do that" I asked slowly blacking out "you have to protect the people you love first" he said "I love your too" I said blacking out I heard a faint "ava"
Mia POV
Hours later
Who could own a gun with the first letter of their name with a F, think maha I mean Mia wait no maha ughhh this is so confusing.
"I got you some water you looked like you were about to explode" Grayson said handing me a glass of water "uh thanks where's Justin" I asked "he went to get some air" he replied there was a pause between us
"Grayson can I tell you something" I asked he nodded his head "I don't know how to explain this but I'm lost and I'm depressed about nothing" I said lookin down at my water
He lifted my water cup up to my lips, I took a sip "every dark cloud passes I promise you this cloud will pass by" he said and gave me a friendly kiss on my forehead which left my body tingling
2am
"Mia Mia" someone whispered I slowly opened my eyes, I was laying on Grayson's lap how did I end up in this position??? "The doctor said we can go visit them everyone already went its just you and me left" he said.
Ethan and ava were in the same room but they were separated by a curtain. I looked at Grayson, he was about to cry seeing ethan in this condition. I was about to go up to Ava when her heart machine went flat "AVA" I yelled then ethan heart machine went flat "ETHAN" I yelled "NO NO NO PLEASE I NEED YOU GUYS" I started crying
The doctors rushed in and started doing their thing, Grayson pulled me back and hugged me tightly I felt some of his tears on me. I buried my head in his chest, I heard all the machines going crazy and the doctors yelled "everything is OK everything is OK" I repeated. I didn't hear yelling from the doctors or the crazy machines.
I slowly pull away from Grayson, I looked around the doctors were wiping away sweat and the machine were calm. I looked at the heart machine "oh my god" Grayson paused in the middle of his sentence "their heart are beating at the same time" I finished Grayson's sentence.
