I'm Not Your Puppet No More

I was your key to fame and fortune.
I never had a childhood, I could never sleep in till noon.

I stand there on stage and pretend I'm enjoying myself.
All those trophies mean nothing that waste space on my shelf.

All my life I have been the puppet and you the puppeteer.
Someone please shatter this charade with a spear.

Invisible strings are attached to my every limb.
They are only visible when the stage lights dim.

But no longer shall I be manipulated.
No more of this act that is far too complicated.

I will break free and see the break of dawn once more.
All the pain will be over for sure.

Finally my soul will be at peace and all will be well
And let this puppet's body forever rot in hell.
