Chapter 28 - Hunting Down

Mai's POV

"What is it 'ttebayo?" Naruto whined.

I chuckled.

Sakura hit him over the head... again.

"I called all of you for a reason. We have an important news" Tsuna said.

"What is it?" Sakura ask.

"Orochimaru's dead..." She announced... with a hint of sadness coming out from her.

"Dead?" Kakashi said.

"Then!!" Naruto got excited.

"What about Sasuke-kun?!" Sakura ask.

"Is he coming back here?" Naruto ask.

"Unfortunately no. You need to remember. what was his original goal" I said.

"Uchiha Itachi" Kakashi said, looking at me.

I nod.

"Yeah... so he won't be coming back anytime soon... at least until he fulfil his goal" I said.

"Then...then isn't there a way? I mean to bring him back?" Sakura ask.

I sigh.

"There is one way" I said.

"Eh, how?" Naruto ask.

All eyes on me.

"Bring Itachi back here" I said.

"Itachi's not just a normal rouge ninja. He's quite deadly if we have to fight against him" Kakashi said.

I nod.

"I know... but the boy is a kind soul..." I said.

"Kind soul? He killed his clan" Jiraiya said.

I just silently look at Hiruzen. He knew what I meant.

"But for now, it's better for us to search Itachi. And if it's possible... get Sasuke back to this village" Tsuna said.

"But how? Both of them are not easy to catch. Not to mention with that Sharingan they have..." Naruto said.

"Well we can't send a big team out. It will cause a big distraction. And they will know that we're finding for them" Sakura said.

"Well... I knew this would happen. So I already call in the perfect team to do this mission" Kakashi said.

Hinata, Kiba and Akamaru and Shino came in.

I smiled.

"Well... this time. I'm participating" I said.

"Mai..."

"Don't worry. Everything will be reveal soon" I said, smiling at Kakashi.

He looked at me, worried. I smile and nod, assuring him.

We were given time to pack up and get ready. Heavy rain came down.

"Mama... Papa... when are you coming back?" Rin ask.

I look at her sadly.

"Rin... I'm so sorry... lately we aren't able to spend time with you... But we are doing something very important. I know you're still young to understand this. But you don't have to worry... we will be back home. Alright?" I said, patting her head.

"You promise?" She ask, holding out her pinky finger.

I smile.

"We promise, right?" Kakashi said.
