Chapter 37 - Project Tsuki No Me

Guys, I just realise something... I have been spelling 'dobe' as 'dope'

OMG

I. AM. SUCH. AN. IDIOT!!!

I mean, I know how to spell 'dobe', just that when you're typing, the spelling comes as you pronounce it. And I unconsciously pronounce it as 'dope' instead of 'dobe'.

I'll fix it one day. I promise. For now I suppose you guys can just ignore it and pretend its dobe.

So yeah, On to the story!!

Third Person's POV

"Well then, what's with the sudden silent? All of you were seriously talking a moment ago" The masked man, called Tobi said.

Mai glared at him.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Sasuke asked.

"To pick you up. You're taking your own sweet time, so I thought I'd help too" Tobi said.

Then he turned to Itachi.

"So you really are alive huh?" Tobi said.

Before Itachi can reply anything else, Mai stood in front of Itachi, blocking his view.

"Stop talking" Mai said.

Tobi look at her.

"Now that you're here, it's easier to talk about you" Mai continued.

"So this is the man?" Mizukage suddenly said.

"Yeah, This is the guy who's behind Akatsuki" Mai said.

"You made it seem like I'm really a bad guy" Tobi said, sounding a bit amused.

"Just get on with it, there's no way you're here to just take Sasuke with you" Mai said.

"Before that, Suzuki Mai or whoever you are, that bastard is mine, I'll kill him myself!!" The Raikage said.

Mai glared at him. An immense bloodlust coming from her.

"No one touches Sasuke" She said.

"I don't know what sort of relationship you have with the Uchihas, It's better to kill him! That bastard killed my brother!" The Raikage said again.

"If he really did come to a threat, I'll kill him with my own two hands" Mai said.

No expression on her face whatsoever.

Sasuke look at her, he wouldn't admit, but a he felt a little pang in his heart when she said that.

"How sure are you?" Gaara then spoke up.

Mai look at him.

"How sure are you to be able to kill Sasuke, when you care for him like a son" Gaara said.

Gaara spoke up, it wasn't to protest against Mai, but instead to see her determination... her resolution.

"It's because I care for him as a son that I am able to do so. Don't forget, I have tainted my hands way more than some of you could. I have killed people who are dear to me. This doesn't make a different" Mai said.

She closed her eyes for a moment and look towards the Masked man who have been silent.

"What exactly is your plan? You have been seeking revenge for Konoha?" Mai asked.

"This is nothing petty such as destroying Konoha. I could destroy the world if I wanted to. I'm here to tell you about Project Tsuki No Me" He said.
